If Pacquiao was American, would he get more $$$$$?

Sorry, I'm open to correction, but I just find it illogic to compare what Pacman earns to other - eg Mayweather. I can never see it barely possible that Pacman as a non American to have the draw power of a local - no chance. I could never see Pacman getting more PPV buys if he fought in the UK than Khan or Froch either, its just logic to me. So I'd really appreciate thoughts from others - am I wrong?? If Pacquiao was American, not only would earn much much more than Mayweather he would also be regarded as the ATG no 1.

You could argue its harder for usa fighters as they dont have the built in fan base americans dont support their own like they should. I dont think your wrong in the sense if you turn into a start in usa your golden forever but it is next to impossible to become a real sports star that all american sports fans know so really you could look at it a bunch of ways. He gets paid just fine, he getting what Mayweather used to get before showtime put him under contract. If Mayweather didnt get the contract, him and manny be making the exact same, manny probably be making more. Manny more? Maywayther was making more before the contract.... He made more vs Oscar, Hatton, Mosley and Cotto than these guys vs Pacquiao. Pacquaio numbers have fallen taking a loss un-related to Mayweather. Even without Showtime guarantee, the record breaking PPV pot is still bigger than Manny's guarantee.

i get you but i'm talking mainstream...aka across the whole country. The whole USA country won't pay to watch little men, I truly believe Heavyweight men are the only boxers to garner the attention of everyone in the USA.

I mean, I can never see Pacquiao or any other foreigner being able to match the local stars... so I mean, if he was the same fighter, same character, etc, just instead with native American English and was brought up in the USA, etc and had steam rolled through the divisions, etc, would he have more PPV numbers?????? Logic only tells me YES, but I'm open to be corrected on this. Bruh, do you not realize how many filipinos buy his PPVs? We have people in here all the time just waiting for dudes to boycott Floyd PPVs... I live in the Bay Area, you could literally walk around my neighborhood during a Pac fight and hear the screams of many filipinos through their house windows. Not to mention when the Mexicans buy Manny's PPV, the Mexicans the night Pac was KO'd they were setting off fireworks in my town.

Yes, Pacquiao came across as a nobody when he came to America and sparked out Ledwaba. Became an international superstar. Hard to say, if he was American he would of been brought up with a more American style of fighting. If he was "American" by that do you also mean a Filipino thats American born? A lot of who/what Pacquiao is, is because of his life in the Philippines.
