You here after every single fight, you have people creaming themselves over punch statistics, when deep down we know they are aload of crap. This is professional boxing in my opinion if you hit any body part, body arms, side of head........it counts!
I think Mayweather & the media he has influenced use Punch statistics, as a way of manipulating people.
Floyd Mayweather threw 400 + punches, vs Maidana's 800 and you will get people saying things like.? Oh Maidana was not landing the cleaning shots. I saw body shots, i saw arms getting brutalized! I bet you Mayweather was hurting more the next day compared to Maidana....
This is the professional game, rough house tactics are a skill! its about causing damage and distress! and that's what Maidana did up against Mayweather!
I am not sure whether Mayweather is becoming soft! i have already highlighted his ever increasing one dimensional offense in previous threads! But i just wonder if he is becoming soft!
Floyd Mayweather Senior in my opinion, is the best thing that has happened Floyd Mayweather in his last few fights. Roger Mayweather has done a great job, but at this point in his career Floyd Mayweather needs some no nonsense!
There is a point in every boxing match when it becomes a fight, and the fact of the matter is! I think Floyd Mayweather has forgotten how to fight, put the punches together, get creative! If Mayweather is to face the best opponents and stay undefeated, expect to see some changes! I am not fooled by Punch statistics!
Its time to go to Work!
Maidana's punch stats were the real deception. Punching a man on the legs, balls, and back of the head are not scoring shots, as per the rules of boxing. Neither are MMA style takedown. The simple fact is that Chino is a flagrant cheater and still lost, despite being afforded the benefit of the doubt at every infraction by referee Tony Weeks.
The mere fact that many people here celebrate such a performance is merely indicative of how emotionally attached they are to hoping Floyd Mayweather takes a loss.
A truly disgraceful performance.
Then I suggest you watch some football and stop watching boxing because you clearly don't understand the sport.
Again, you can argue that Maidana did more damage, that's fine. The pro's is about doing damage when you compare it to the amateurs but that doesn't mean every boxing match has to be a street fight.
Boxing is a skill, it's the sweet science. It's about defense and offense, hitting and not getting hit. Floyd didn't get hit as much as you would like to think. He boxed beautifully and countered well in the later rounds.
If you want to talk about scoring, you are completely wrong and don't know much about the sport. Hitting areas that are not targets under the rules DO NOT COUNT.
They hurt, but they don't count. I can't punch you 2,000 times in the elbow and think I won the fight, but I didn't.
Stop trolling and sit back, drink a pint, eat some fish and chips and watch footy because in the words of Roger Mayweather, "You don't know sh1t about boxing!"
Damn Cuauh /thread
Floyd throws less than half of his opponent which means Floyd is in defensive mode for most of the fight. How can you win a fight by just trying not to be knocked out?
Does Floyd really trust the judges will give him a decision he is pushing his luck, which hes had a lot of believe me.
Historically when a fight is close, they give it to the boxer who tried to make a fight and pressured. Not in Floyds fights somehow.

Which retard were you before this account?
Floyd Mayweather got hit, why are you lying to yourself...?
And here you go again, with all the play on words that have been imprinted on your kind through the media. Floyd Mayweather got hit, he got roughed up if you have a problem with that i suggest you go and watch some amateur boxing....
"Yes it is a science, a rough science!"......
Even Bernard Hopkins knows this, it seems like Floyd Mayweather has his whole manipulated fanbase has forgotten...
You are spending too much time on your pink iphone, listening to Lil Wayne and Justin Bieber......did i spell his name wrong..?
Guess what..? I don't care..
Stopped trolling..? i have been a member here for 8 years, how long have you been a member for..? I have kept people waiting for 8 years, and now i am back!
That's not rough science, if he was able to consistently land cleanly to go with that dirtiness, that's more indicative of rough science. Castillo got dirty as well but he possessed the skills to land clean on Mayweather, especially to the head where Maidana failed miserably.

Welcome to boxing scene!
Lets go to work!
I love how in every Floyd/Castillo thread all you hear is "compubox don't mean shyt, its just a couple guys punching numbers!"
now after the Maidana/Floyd fight all you hear is "just look at the sho stats, Maidana wasn't landing shyt!" :lol1: fukin hypocrites.
You noticed that too, lol!:lol1:

This is professional boxing, and there are many areas to the game. The sweet science, and the rough science! and the gamesmanship......
Floyd Mayweather Senior has already highlighted things he has seen, and that deep down he is not happy with...
Its time to go to work!
Listen...
I am from Liverpool City...
If i want to see a fight, i will walk outside....
"People know how to score a fight through human intuition, its basic instinct. But throughout the years all these upper-class butter wouldn't melt individuals are playing with your minds, punch statistics are aload of nonsense in the professional game"....
The amateur game is a game of tick..
The professional game is violence, there is a point in every professional boxing where it becomes a fight.
"Body shots, hitting arms, pushing the boundaries of gamesmanship"....this all counts, but the amateur game they will be over looked.....
The fact of the matter Floyd Mayweather needs to go to work, and i think he will back in the gym this week. He turned up on Saturday night thinking it was the amateur game, and he and his whole camp got a taste of professional violence....

Another stupid analogy he made is that the scoring in pro vs amateur isn't that different when you are talking about TARGETING.
In the amateurs you need gloves with a white front on them to show where the glove needs to land for a scoring blow.
In the pro's you don't have that white mark, but the target is the same. Landing a punch with the side of the glove, or back of the glove is illegal.
The same way landing a shot to the back of the head, or below the belly button is illegal.
If you hit arms, shoulders, hips, forearms it hurts and can be used as a strategic aspect of the trainer, but it does not count as a scoring blow.
This place is full of retards, they should stop watching boxing and go watch the UFC where you can fly off the side of the cage and kick someone in the side of the head.

truth in everything u said
I just did not like the moaning and crying from Mayweather and his camp! during and after the fight!
I can remember Roy Jones stating this...
"If somebody gets rough with you! You get rough back, hit you low, you hit them low!"....
The amateur and professional game is different both technically and physically....
Amateur boxing is a violent game of tick!
The professional game, is a more rougher violent game of tick! Its like a violent game of hide and seek! You have people coming to get you, whether you are READY OR NOT!
You have sportsmanship and gamesmanship! in the professional game you push the boundaries of gamesmanship!
Maidana reminder Floyd Mayweather that he is in the professional game, and i hope it has awoken a different side to Floyd Mayweather....
Because he looked like a limited fighter offensively and uncomfortable psychologically all night...
No talk of punch statistics is going to change what happened, we all see it with are own eye's! Mayweather was roughed up for 12 rounds, and no use of play on words such as "Adjust" and "Adapt are going to fool me.
"I would not be surprised if Mayweather is back in the gym next week, i would not be surprise if he is there now, the kids been too comfortable for too long! Maidana has shook things up!"
Now you want Floyd to get rough back? You f@ggots complain about the Ortiz fight still to this day. So which one is it?
thank you. It's always the posters who complain the loudest that don't know how the judges are required to score a fight.
Ohhh and boxing judges get it so right every time.
Mug.

Floydcunters put a lot of store in punchstats. They simply dont know the difference between pro and amateur boxing.

I stopped reading after "in my opinion if you hit any body part, body arms, side of head........it counts!"
Are you a moron? Please put down the remote control and stop watching boxing. Those punches do NOT count in the eyes of the judges. Shots to the mid section and head are the only one's that count as points.
Hitting shoulders, arms, etc can influence the fight and hurt an opponent but to say they should count the same is stupid.
Perfectly said.:boxing:
