I have been saying for years that Lara is the real deal and he has been proving that in his fights. His recent opponent Austin Trout has also faced Canelo and lost a controversial decision. Trout was beaten soundly by Lara and he sees Lara being too much for Canelo but he's concerned with the judges ruling the fight in a fair manner. I hope he's wrong about the judges but who can argue w all the absurd decisions as of last few years.
I'm rolling with Canelo on this fight. People will call it a robbery anyway if it's close.
Isn't Lara with Al Haymon? Then how could he get robbed. Most people on here think that Haymon buys the judges.
I think the decision will be fair. You have the possibility of a rematch and it will open the door for another Floyd opponent which he's desperately lacking right now.
Agree with Trout. Canelo being the A-side he's getting the advantage. He's the name it's no different then when he fought Trout. This is boxing it's the way it goes.
Im hoping Lara wins but to get the decision it's going to have to be decisively he's not getting a close decision.
pffftttt yeah ok if canelo doesn't knock him out people will scream robbery. hes hated so much here
Sooooo.... you do think he got a draw with Mayweather?
Lara already got robbed big time. I don't think the boxing authorities would rob him again, even to protect Canelo.
They won't have to rob him. Canelo will leave no doubt s to who won.
Trout's bitter that Canelo beat him, so obviously he's going to pick Lara.
He's wrong, though. Canelo will beat the piss out of Lara and within the blink of an eye Lara will go from the Michael Myers of the 154lbs division to the Mike Myers of the 154lbs division.
Then Canelo will be "ducking" somebody else.
Martinez or Cotto, most likely.
Remember Lara beat trout as well.
dont know what rock you have been under but lara beat trout too even more convincingly. he and lara had crazy beef going into that fight too, they kind of squashed it after the fight but you can still tell they dont like each other at all. trout never seemed to have anything against canelo at any point.
i can see why you would disagree with trout, canelo is a beast and there have generally been very mixed predictions going into this fight (i got canelo myself). but to chalk his whole statement down to being bitter makes no sense at all, especially when he lost to BOTH guys.
I'm quite aware of Lara/Trout.
The reason I believe that Trout is bitter is due to the comment regarding the judging. What he's implying is that judges favor Canelo, which is likely how he feels about his own close loss to Canelo - That the judges "screwed" him when, very clearly, he lost.
Hence my branding him bitter. Because if he weren't bitter he wouldn't mentioning shady judging at all.
Lastly, he's going to look foolish when Canelo handily beats Lara's ass.
It depends really. I don't think Lara gets screwed badly twice. The way he got screwed vs Paul Williams and the punishment those judges received will put fear into whatever judge thinks about screwing him. Unless Gale Van Hoy, CJ Ross, or Glenn Trowbridge are Judges.
I don't think people will be satisfied with anything short of Marquez killing Pacquiao in the ring. I hope Marquez realizes that and doesn't budge. He has nothing to gain.
wrong thread tupac
It was a very close fight and styles make fights. Lara is a superior version of Trout.
Open scoring ruined Trout Canelo IMO.
yah but canelo won either way, he doesn't control the scoring. texas is fcked and everyone knows that but this fight is in vegas and I doubt there would be a robbery may the best man win. if I had points id bet anyone any bet but I don't lol

Of course he'll get screwed over. Judges and managers with influence know who the sports cash cows are. You have to soundly beat up or knockout Mayweather, Pacquiao, and canelo. Close fights always go to the name and cash. I'm not saying it right either...it sucks that it is this way however.
