I believe Khan wins by Andre Warding Matthysse by sticking with the game plan, which to me is perfectly fine as if the exciting Amir Khan got any props.
With that said Lucas can box, so if he hurts Khan the way Maidana did in Round 10 vs Khan then Lucas will finish him easily.
This could go either way, matthysse could end the fight early by ko or tko, Or khan could box circles around mattysee all 12 rounds, wouldnt even be suprised if khan scored a ko with a bodyshot.
unfortunately matthysee has the power but lacks the skills or IQ to use his power effectively. its been the case each time he has stepped up his game and fought credible opposition.
Matthysse needs to win his first world title lmaooooooo!!!!!! this guy is a joke like all the maidana trolls who think he won the the fight vs floyd. 92% of media were in favour of floyd
Wonder how he will look at 147
I think Molina had him hurt on other occasions throughout the fight.
It was a great fight, but Lucas should not be struggling with a guy like Molina, it could be down to ring rust or maybe the Garcia loss has damaged something inside him..we will have to wait and see. That wasnt the same Lucas who destroyed Petterson in my book, that fight was suppose to be a walk in the park for Lucus an it turned out to be a brutal battle
I think Molina just showed up in much better shape than people expected him to be in. The fact that he took those monster shots from Lucas for as long as he did was evidence of that. He's also a legitimate puncher in his own right and was obviously the bigger man.
Time will tell.
Yeah, he's moving up. He said so after the Molina fight. Maybe one more at 140, then he's setting his sights on chasing Garcia to 147lbs.
What makes you say Matthysse's punch resistance isn't what it used to be, though? The first knockdown against Molina was a flash knockdown where he was off balance, and the second was a rabbit punch.
It should also be noted that he wasn't hurt on either occasion.

Khan's movement and size might give Matthysse some problems early. But Matthysse is pretty good at cutting off the ring and has more than enough power to finish Khan. Khan still doesn't seem to like pressure. Khan might Klitschko his way to a victory. But it seems more likely to me that Mattthysse catches up to Khan and knocks him out.
I would have said Lucas before the Garcia fight
but his punch resistance isnt what it use to be, i think Khan has enough power to keep him sweet, if he fights smart, using his reach, height, speed and some clinching he could win a UD. Lucas is very small, which helps Khan out
Obviously at 140 he would destroy Khan, given Khan cant make the weight anymore
Is Lucas going to move up to 147?

Why not pull a Maidana on Khan?
IMO matthysse is better than maidana. he is more accurate not that wild, and will finish khan if he hurts him, which he will if the fights ever happens
If Khan can stay away from Matthysse's bombs for long enough like he did against Maidana, Khan can box him to a decision.
If Matthysse lands it's goodnight Vienna.
Boxing being the most unpredictable sport it is, you just never know.
The same people who'll put their house on Khan getting KO'd in this matchup will probably be the ones who were putting their house on Matthysse KO'ing Garcia, Maidana KO'ing Khan etc.
I'm more hesitant than I was a couple weeks ago, but I still think Matthysse sends him into the front row. You back away from Lucas, he eventually catches you and I don't think Khan's standing up to that.
I'm inclined to agree, but Khan has some big size and reach advantages that might be highly relevant early. Though I think Matthysse's compactness may work well for him later, especially if Khan gets clinchy, or if, like you said, he can be a determined pitbull when Khan backs away.
Khan's speed gives Matthysse problems early. He lands a lot of clean shots. As the fight goes on Matthysse starts to have more success. Khan struggles more and more to keep him off of him and his lack of an inside game begins to resurface. He falls into his old habit of standing in front of Matthysse with a high guard taking punishment (which Hunter admonished him for against Collazo) and eventually catches something that hurts him. Goes down from a barrage of punishment but beats the count and sees out the round. I see this pattern repeating itself and Khan getting stopped by the ref late on in the fight.
