My Scorecard:
RD1-Maidana 9-10
RD2-Mayweather 10-9
RD3-Maidana 9-10
*RD4-Maidana 9-10
RD5-Maidana 9-10
*RD6-Mayweather 10-9
RD7-Mayweather 10-9
RD8-Maidana 9-10
RD9-Mayweather 10-9
RD10-Mayweather 10-9
RD11-Mayweather 10-9
*RD12-Maidana 9-10
*Swing rd- could have gone either way
Final Score: 114-114 Draw I felt there were many swing rds that could have gone either way and 7-5 for either fighter is acceptable to me. Anything wider I have a problem with
Out of 112 press row scores. Only 9 scored the fight for Maidana. 18 members of press row scored the fight 116-112 for Mayweather and 4 others had an even wider score than that. So it's actually more plausible that Mayweather won 8 (or more) rounds in that fight, then Maidana actually winning the fight in any capacity
Correction, it was actually 7.
That's 25 members of press row that had Mayweather winning 8 or more rounds which is almost 3x the number individuals in press row that had Maidana winning at all.

Well what? 18 had obviously been in the bar too long, and as for the other four...
Yes it is. No way Floyd won 8 rounds, just no way.

115-113 either way or a draw ... anything else is reaching and giving pretty much all close rounds to one guy or the other. Fight was damn close
This is exactly on point. And people need to get over it and move on. Look forward to the rematch.
116-112 Mayweather is definitely not reaching. Marcos didn't win 7 rounds, I don't care how many times people want to look at the fight, he just didn't.

Ben Thompson (Fighthype) : 118-110 Mayweather
and his balls to please
Yea Weeks was horrible...but you think he was paid off by who??? cause he allowed rabbit punches, tackles, low blows and attempted knees and didnt take not one point away..so who paid him off?? Floyd won the last few rounds because he did not coast and he had to bring it and he did..and i guess you missed when Chino tried to break Floyds arm
DLH???? Lol. The same person that paid off the judge that scored the Alverez fight a draw. O_o
Oh really? Was a while ago I thought it was split.
Post the link when you can I'd be interested to see that.
Excerpt from the Las Vegas review journal 10-5-2002
Mayweather won the WBC title from Castillo on April 20 in a highly controversial decision. Though the judges were unanimous and most ringside media felt Mayweather had won the HBO announcers and the TV audience believed Castillo had won.
When i watched it live i had it 7-5 floyd. When i rewatched, marked which rounds that could go either way, im ok with 7-5 for floyd or a draw. I see how you can have it 7-5 for maidana if he gets the nod in all the close rounds.
Rematch might be needed.

Actually, the majority of press row had Mayweather winning that fight. I believe Fat Dan and Harold Lederman were the only two to score that fight a draw or Castillo victory. Have a link that i can post that shows this, but i'm unable to post links without having 15 posts.

Press row were split on that fight.
From the Boxrec article for Mayweather-Castillo 1;
"HBO unofficial scorer Harold Lederman had Castillo winning 115-111, The Associated Press had Mayweather winning 115-111, and Dan Rafael of USA Today had the fight 114-114."
Far from a robbery obviously. A very close fight. Some had Floyd winning some had Castillo winning.

Just Ben Thompson needs to learn how to score without bias. Even boxing socialist scored the fight 115-113 for Floyd and that site is a complete pro-Floyd site and they had it close.
Had it 115-113 Floyd..take a look at those scores and compare them with the Bradley-Pacqiao 1 scores and it's laughable even now that he got that decision.
i wonder when was the last time vic drakulich reffed a floyd fight? he should be the ref next time, that elbow is getting out of hand. weeks is horrible
Weeks basically thought, "I will let Maidana do what he wants to do as long as Floyd keeps using his elbows." an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth its all the same $h!t.
He let Floyd get away with using his elbows, in fact most do. The only one who doesn't is Vic Drakulich who penalized Floyd for it in his 1st fight with Castillo. that was the was the last time vic drakulich reffed a floyd fight? he should be the ref next time, that elbow is getting out of hand. weeks is horrible
