A few close rounds, but being fair to both participants, this is about the best I can do. A Draw. Maidana fought like a lion early, Floyd come on down the stretch like a catty veteran. It was a war of wits, grits and spastic fits. Although it went the full 12, after the 2 wide cards were read, something clearly came to the mind of everyone - Unfinished Business. Let's do this again - no gloves or sparring gloves, doesn't matter - more pain is in store for Volume 2.
Michael Pernick, the judge who scored it a draw, actually has the highest rating on the pod index for scoring close fights as well - http://www.podindex.org/m/index.php/podindex/report
Pernick is ranked the 13th most consistent of the 75 ranked judges. Moretti is a bit behind him at 25th. Burt Clements is way down the list at 55th. His scorecard definitely justifies that ranking anyway.
He got it bang on in my opinion. Could see it by 1 round either way if pushed. These people who have Floyd by 3 rounds + are living in cloud cuckoo land.
1 - maidana

Be honest, you had the 11th for Mayday but changed it so it wouldn't be 9-3. :lol1:

You scored 1 round correctly...good job, now let's see the rest. Better not be some 9-3 scoresheet or some other outrageous points spread.

Yeah, you're right. I should've scored round 1 for Money because Chino was being dirty, then I'd know about boxing. :lol1:
I scored round 1 for Maidana.
You don't know **** about boxing.
I agree, fight should've been a draw. I had chino winning by a round or some, but I'd rather have it a draw than a Floyd win, he didn't do enough imo.
Maidanas workrate was doubling Floyd's and he got in so many body shots in the first 5, it was brutal. Really thought Floyd would gas a little bit after that intense work to the body by Maidana. Floyd clearly showed a lot of heart to take over the fight in the second half.
Great fight, respect to both fighters.
(Btw. why is it that sometimes people score work rate and then in other times when it's different fighters work rate doesn't mean anything. So what is it guys, which one weights highest work rate or precision. They landed equal punches so it's very relevant for this fight)

Pretty much spot on, think I gave the 5th to Mayweather though, making it 7-5. But a draw seems pretty good, as does a 7-5 in Maidana's favour, that's just how close it was.
