I really think you guys don't know how to score a boxing match and should read a guide on how to do so. Then go re-watch the fight. Your hate for Floyd has obviously clouded your judgement.
It was a tough fight for Floyd but he clearly still won. The only fight that I would say he has lost is the first Castillo fight.
People just need to start being honest rather than talk a lot of BS based on their personal feelings towards a boxer.
Affective Aggression-Maidana
Ring Generalship Maidana took the fight where he wanted it most of the time
Punches Landed-Even
Defense-Mayweather
Based on the rules Maidana still wins.
"Punches landed" isn't a scoring criteria.
It's "clean effective punching" and Floyd obviously had a big edge in that regard.
Scoring is subjective there's no right and definitive way to score a fight. Particularly in one that has two fighters with such different styles. It's not black and white like other sports. The best score out of the three judges was the one that had it a draw. The others were too lopsided IMO as I saw a pretty even fight.
You don't have to hate Mayweather to think he lost. I thought he lost, and I like him.
Not saying it was clear either way, but I do believe Maidana was the winner.
7-5 Maidana. No complaints for 7-5 Mayweather or a draw. I don't think there are 8 rounds that either of them won so 8-4 would be pushing it for both sides IMO.

You don't win 12-round fights by potshotting off the ropes with an average of 40 or so punches a round. Maidana doubled Mayweather's workrate, dictated most of the fight, made Mayweather bleed and complain ... all this even though Floyd chose Maidana's pillow gloves. I had it 6-6. I was being generous to Floyd's accuracy. But Maidana edged it.
