Say whatever you want about him, but he beat a game Collazo. Sure Collazo isn't the guy he was when he fought Hatton or Berto, but he was coming off a thrilling KO of Ortiz.
Khan, you never know what's going to happen with his fights. I'd love, and I'd be excited for Khan-Thurman, Khan-Porter/Brook, Khan-Guerrero, etc.
Collazo looked like isht and he fought like isht.
Night and day between how he fought vs Ortiz. Huge difference.
I hope we do see Khan vs Thurman, while Porter fights Brook.
Amazing what a payoff will do huh?
I'll let ya in on a secret...he didn't fight Danny Garcia this time..or any other top level guy. I though he still looked like s*h**it outside of a couple rounds?? he was running around the ring, holding and still wide open for every counter shot when he lunges in with both hands.
First it was Khan is going to get KTFO and now it is Collazo is a bum. :bottle:
Khan is a big dude, He weighed in like 162 pounds on fight night, and cut down from 170 pounds. He looked very good in his fight, he had stamina, speed, and power, crazy how the past few fights he looked like crap and all of a sudden he came back to form this time adding like 15 pounds of muscle. Tht year off really helped him I guess.
Yeah, because it has become ceremonial for Khan to say " oh you'll see a new Amir Khan for this fight", but really this time he did show veteran tactics and yes the lay off did pretty well for him.
Khan gets stopped against Thurman or Porter. Collazo was like 20% of what he was in the Ortiz fight, I won't delve into why but he was made to order. Still Khan ended up with a black, swollen eye and had to resort to tremendously illegal techniques the entirety of the fight just to do what he did.
It's a facade that I see through easily and he'll get hurt against the other so called top guys at the weight.
Khan made a very good fighter look ordinary and that is not Collazo's fault as he is the one who makes people look bad, but like they say styles make fights and Khan is 0-3 vs Southpaws, because that Right hand finds room vs lefties.
Looking back now, Collazo was leaning on the ropes, because he could no longer stand on his feet
Virgil said after the fight instead of going and attacking Collazo, Khan should have made him come off the ropes and then went for him, Collazo was gone in that round...would have been a stoppage win
Khans power seems to have improved,

I respect your opinion, mine is just different.
You do realise that he started doing all that sh1t after he'd already been thoroughly outclassed for several rounds?
He was trying kidology and veteran tricks to try to get Khan to come out of his gameplan and be reckless. Khan stayed disciplined though and gave him a beating.
I like Kell but this made me laugh :lol1:

You should have made a thread with this, but this year is Brook's year doe.
What happened to Collazo was that he got his ass kicked.
There was nothing different about him except the fact that he was getting punched in the head and was not being allowed to counter back.

I don't know what happened to Collazo, but damn, I was so disappointed.
Not the same dude that fought Ortiz, no feints, the way he cut off the ring, the way he popped his jab. SMH
**** was horrible.
Khan did his thing, but he still looks sloppy.

Khan fights nothing like Ortiz, thats what happened
One guy stands infront of you and trades the other guy hits you so fast and before you know it he has disappeared from ur view, leaving u confused
Had Khan stood infront of Collazo like he did against Julio Diaz, then you would have seen the same Collazo you saw against Ortiz.
Yeah because he was getting his ass kicked in one fight and he wasn't in another. Huge difference.

Khan looked like he belonged at 147 (physically speaking), and I'm looking forward to see how he competes with the top guys. Collazo was a good start and he won decisively, something that needed to happen in order for him to move forward. Khan still showed some of his annoying habits, but he made an effort to remain more defensively responsible than usual.
Collazo was game, Khan just frustrated him the entire fight. Sure some of it was pushing his head down, but Khan ALWAYS does that. If anyone is mad at Khan for that, they better be mad at Chino for the knees, low blows, and rabbit punches, etc.
Nah, I'm mad at Floyd for doing the exact same thing as Khan. The rabbit punches are a byproduct of Floyd ducking his head down. I never saw him apply pressure on his neck.
And I saw literally 1 knee in the fight, and it wasn't even a big deal at all. You know it would be if Floyd complained about it, and he didn't.
Collazo wasn't game. He was letting his pride get in the way of himself, and wasn't a shell of his former self.
Interesting to see who he fights next since it won't be Floyd because of Ramadan.
If Brook beats Porter, I'd say that was a safe bet as his next fight.
If Brook does manage to beat Porter
Khan vs Brook in the UK would be right up there with Groves vs Froch in terms of hype....
