Why are people so hyped up about khans performance?

I don't know if that was aimed at me, but I'm not going to cry over being wrong on that-- I thought he'd be rusty and wasn't really serious anymore. I was wrong, but that still doesn't mean that I think Khan's all that (and he wasn't). It was aimed at the thread starter for yapping pathetic excuses to discredit Khan's win.

Loved the performance, loved the holding. Khan is finally learning that he doesn't have to please morons to get the wins. I thought Khan was exciting, even doing a Ward impression.

Credit where credit is due. Khan did better than I though he would, and showed that he had little rust and still had the will to fight. He fought a disciplined fight and didn't go off plan. It was still mostly dreadful to watch, and he's still chinny as all hell. I agree with staying disciplined for most of the fight, and being a little rusty, but really he did what we all expected him to do. The big question was would he get put to sleep. As far as I saw, he's still there to be put to sleep. And he really looked lost when he wasn't allowed to hold, just hanging around in the pocket taking shots(when collazo would actually throw). I give credit to him for beating a good/legit fighter in collazo, but I'm not gonna go overboard like others are with the hype.

He won every round, dominated, hurt and dropped a guy 3 times, in what was meant to be a 50/50 fight. That's my problem. I expected Khan to look impressive. People were overrating the sh*t out of Collazo, apparently deciding to deny that he was pretty far past it. I can't get that hyped up yet. Good sign, saw some good things and some bad. I'll wait for a more legit opponent before getting excited. I hope Khan becomes a player at 147, because he's exciting to watch.

At what point during the full 12 rounds where he was getting his ass kicked did Collazo break his arm? Didn't you see him break his arm when he hit Khan with that c0ck shot?

Khan still has chin problems, and I would pick Thurman or Porter to knock him out cold.

ortiz was certified done at the top level after losing to josesito lopez......and his fights with hatton and mosley and even berto were a while ago...and berto is a hype job who cares....... more excuses cant even give a guy credit for dominating a guy who very few people have looked good against, if any Khans performance was top class, he did everything he should have done and he made a tough opponent look not so tough

Khan fought to his strengths against Collazo, that's what I was mostly impressed with. He showed he can stick to a game plan and use his superior boxing ability to win fights. I hope he carries on doing the same.

You're trying to compare apples and oranges. Maidana had success because he was 20 lbs heavier, a heavy hitter and mugged mayweather. None of which will fit khan. But its cute seeing you think khan is gonna outbox mayweather Well we've never seen Khan's style against Mayweather. Khan is a very difficult guy to win rounds against. Floyd's reflexes and timing looked off last night

after seeing khan last night,, i think he could give mayweather big big problems in there. floyd had trouble with maidana and he was able to land combos on floyd. khans chin may be glass but im not sure floyd could KO him anymore. also khan may have higher volume then maidana. floyd only threw 400 punches,, the time is now for khan if he wants to beat him cause hes starting to look his age You're trying to compare apples and oranges. Fair enough. I don't think Collazo is genuinely elite either but he's been a solid welterweight for years and has fought closely with some of the best. No one has completely and utterly dominated him like Khan did last night. Not bad for his first fight at 147lbs. it's a decent win, but nothing to get excited about imo. if khan fights and beats someone like thurman or porter then that would be a good statement..

But yes, he hurt/dropped a guy who was walking him down with his hands down 3/4 of the fight, and still exchanged/landed blows on khan. I see your username. You just want an easy fight for Floyd lol.
