I re-watched the fight 3 times less intense second time watching it.
I score it 8-4 Floyd or 5-7 Floyd
It seems to me that Floyd being so great that when he has a close fight is like a lost cause he's not suppose to be in close fights.
He fought maidana fight and beat him by 2 or 3 rounds
In the rematch he will fight his fight and win by 10 rounds.
All he has to do is stay in the middle use his footwork.
But when a fighter never gets hit and then he finally gets hit is like
Wow. Manny pacquaio always wins close close fights no problem since we see him get hit all the time we expected him to get hit so he can hit em back.
But with Floyd people don't expect him to get hit yet alone be in a close fight.
At the end I'm happy he fought like that and give him more credit then I would of if he outboxed him.
Great fight tho for those who miss it here's a link

He's so great he fought a 14-1 underdog that most counted out, including myself. It's almost like Pac having a close fight with Rios, Floyd got embarrassed and embarrassed himself at the post fight press conference.
Props to Maidana, he brought it to "TBE".
Well Robinson not only struggled but lost to Tiger Jones.
Duran not only struggled but lost to Kirkland Laing.
Leonard struggled with Donny Lalonde.
Do you know anything about Boxing? Because evidently you know little of the history.
Greater fighter than Floyd have struggled and even lost to lesser fighters than Marcos Maidana.
Muhammad Ali struggled badly with Doug Jones.
we just gonna act like De La Hoya didint get his jaw broken by steve forbes? or was it his eye? i forgot.
we just gonna act like terry norris didint do a number on sugar ray?
dudes love bringing up old names for the sake of it. smh
How many greats in history would have a close fight with Maidana?
Robinson, Hearns, Leonard, Duran, would De La Hoya even? stop me when you find one.

lol it's not a number out of thin air...it's a number i heard...so i heard wrong...well **** u and the high horse u sit on...maidana still had no business doing what he did to the supposed #1 p4p fighter in the world and "best ever"...but he did and it's embarrassing lol........
floyd should consider putting those corny tbe hats and t-shirts on discount......
High horse? I tried to simply correct you, then you wanted to argue about it. Don't believe everything you hear. I don't care what your opinion on the fight was, you had the odds wrong and I pointed it out. Stop being such a god damn woman.
Fuck you, too. Fucking baby.
Still doesn't change the fact that you just pulled a number out of thin air, which was my original point.
Throw those excuses elsewhere.

Their 'hero' fought most of the fighters he was meant to. Based on last nights events i guess its safe to safe there is a high probability floyd would not be undefeated if he did the same :)
Yawn...I mostly read this board...but they went from him being scared of Mosley, and after he beat him, did he get credit nope...not here they had to move the goalpost, Mosley was now old and crusty...their hero beats him later and more washed up and it was a beating of a great fighter. Then he was scared of Canelo, no way would he fight him....he does and wins easily....goalpost time Canelo now sucks and is somehow worse than Rios......now he fights a guy who weighed 20lbs and was able to push Floyd around...but didnt land anything great...close fight but Floyd won....now all of a sudden Maidana is a piece of **** and sucks...yet their hero beats a guy he already beat and lost 3 of his last 4 fights yet that dude is Ali on this board.
I appreciate Manny and Floyd the are ATG they have slipped off yet still are beating everyone. I just dont like Pacs fans sorry
still doesn't change the fact that mayweather fought a close fight against a guy who wasn't top ten p4p, wasn't in the top 5 at ww and is a crude slow brawler, and whose only stand out wins are beating a hype job (broner) and a mental midget (ortiz).........
kind of sad for a supposed #1 best p4p fighter and someone who proclaims himself to be the best ever...wouldn't u agree?

Hardly the resume of the greatest. What a joke. Might as well call joe calzaghe the goat. He's undefeated.
Its also a harder era to make fights due to promotional companies not working together. Now include the numerous belts, etc. This is not the Ali era. Hard to compare Floyd to greats from the past. But he is the GOAT of his era, deal with it.
Yeah I agree although I gave Maidana 5 rounds....what's worse is their hero actually had a 4 fight war with Marquez all much closer fights yet somehow they saw dominance.

no matter what is said you all will have a childish comeback... thing is you all hold this dude to such a high standard its insane, he cant have a tough fight, cant age, cant bleed in a boxing match, cant get hit etc :lame:
No i just simply see through his branding and business models. Fact is floyd hasn't looked spectacular against the few decent fighters he fought imo and ducked the rest. Which leads me to believe his actual value is much lower than his perceived value.
I said that all night last night. These people are biased , hateful retards who don't know shyt about boxing.
Oscar wins 4 rounds= Oscar won on NSB
Cotto wins 4 rounds= Cotto won on NSB
Maidana wins 4 rounds = Maidana wins on NSB
Rinse and repeat with these casual boxing fans.

All of those guys had title belts and were coming off big wins.
Time to change that Hater Juice flavor.

Who has he fought. Canelo who has he beaten. I've never rated him, very slow mechanical. Shot cotto gave him a fight, so did a shot Hoya. Hatton? Ortiz? How is he considered among the greatest ever.

So you use a shot cotto and a guy who isn't even a top 5 welterweight to prove these points lol.

Na U biased, When floyd lands a bunch you probably see Miadana glow and watch the doves fly away. Meanwhile when Midana lands you're busy admiring something having to do with Floyd.
Silly reds, when will they learn?
Your the last person on here to call anyone bias!
we ll , i thought maidana was b class fighter tho , according to floyd f@gs
7-5 chino
Sources? If anything it was fools like you who was clowning this fight to begin with!
yeah just like he was bleeding against cotto and thats all they talked about, i guess they forget the people hes fighting are professional ranked fighters with professional trainers.... they actually think higher of floyd than his actual fans do... when getting hit in a boxing match or bleeding is the focus and constantly talked about even though you clearly win..then you have to be great

Ok one of the biggest Floyd knob polishers on the whole site agrees with you, Congratulations!
I wast saying that cause I'm a Floyd fan but more cause I understand how people think. I personally don't care who wins or loses I just want a good fight!
I'm glad that fight was close it makes thing interested. Floyd the Jordan of boxing and he fought a great close fight. He didn't do what was expected so chino wins off that.. The best win is a lost for chino this was the best way to lose to mayweather. Chino continues to go up from here unless he takes the rematch and Floyd outbox him. But for head butting cutting Floyd a few low blows here and there and here cause it was like 4/5 of em.. running him thru the ropes all that help him make it a great fight. Floyd has a fight you can re-watch now enjoy it!!
Spare me the drivel there are no moral victories in boxing. A win is a win. 116_112 Mayweather. Yawn.
How did you come up with that score? You had Floyd winning rounds that should have been given to Maidana ..... got it!
