I was watching some old fights today and was listening to Manny talk. I miss that guy so much. I miss his voice, to me he was definitely one of my favorite people ever in the boxing world. Legend
Yeah Manny was always unbiased. Yeah he was a legendary trainer and figure in the sport but firstly he was just a fan like us. When you watch those old fights and hear him on stuff like gatti-ward legendary nights you can hear that in his voice man that makes me remember why I love boxing.
Funny you should make this post, for I wrote a long E-mail to a friend last night about how I missed hearing Manny Steward's commentary. So, Yeah...I miss him, too.
Agreed he knew his stuff and was unbiased. RIP
It's weird that it seems he didn't even get a proper send off, or atleast one that he deserved. The sport misses Manny for sure.
Well, it's not like they could give him a send-off while he was in the final stages. He left the air for treatment and died soon after. Would love a movie of his life though.
Boxing is a huge part of who I am and I know how passionate you guys are. i appreciate it. You can never be a fan of boxing if you don't take time out to give respect to a man like Manny.
