Maidana is no bum. Had he used his regular gloves there's no doubt he would hurt and possibly knockdown Mayweather. Maidana has become an elite fighter in the division that still has a few big fights left in him. A fight with Pacquiao would be something I would love to see. Lets hope Pac jumps ship so we can see some of these fights.

His biggest asset to getting in the HOF is his fan friendly style. If Gatti can get in so can Maidana, because IMO Maidana > Gatti. No disrespect to gatti, but he was what he was. i for one thought that maidana would get handled something mean, but i also have been one to never gauge correctly, how far the right mental state in addition to an awkward style can take you in a fight. chino put up a HELL of a fight. i was drunk and blazed and turned to my friend at the end of the 12th and said that floyd better have not lost because i didn't bet the underdog. if he had lost, i literally would have cried.

Why are Floyd fans so mad about the way maidana fought? I mean...it's maidana gawd dammit...everybody knows how chino was gonna fight...they should of expected and Floyd should have known before he picked him as an opponent.

I'll apologise I thought Floyd would dismantle him and TKO him. Although Maidana is better than I thought, I would also say I saw some definite slippage from Floyd for the first time. I saw decline in speed against Canelo but he was so good in the fight I didn't pay that much attention, but I think you'll see more from here on out. I don't think we will see the consistency any more. I think Floyd is similar to BHOP in the sense that he could go on at the very highest level and still produce great performances well into his 40's if he wanted to, but the invincibility is going, and I think if you get a fighter who is quick on his feet with quick hands, athletic with good power, Floyd could potentially come up against his Jermain Taylor. Although not sure if there is a fighter out there like that, maybe Khan? Doubt it. As for Maidana, he must of learnt lots in that fight and will be full of confidence after that performance, I can see him kicking on and producing some great performances at 147.
