Sergio Martinez or Marcos Maidana(before it was announced that he won the ***** sweepstakes). Please vote on the poll.
Why am I asking this you ask. It's because PBF himself said on All Access that he can beat anyone from 147-154lbs. Hmm, I hope he's not thinking of fighting Cotto again. Bring on Sergio then(no catchweight)!
Martinez. Which is to be expected judging from his success. Maidana if he wins will become huge...but if he gets utterly shut out like Canelo or even Robert he'll most likely lose a bit of face... The easier Mayweather makes it look the worse it will be for Marcos.
Sergio is a smart and charismatic guy who built (mostly making appearances in TV shows) a name in Argentina (my country). It led to his successful (in ticket sales) Murray fight, but all this fired back because the public was disappointed with his performance...
After the Broner fight Chino started to become popular, but he is still not so well known as Sergio is. But there is a nice buzz surrounding The Moment. If he wins -and we expect him to do it- he will be by far the most popular fighter in this country.
You better not have your eyes on the Falklands mate.

I would say Mara martinez had a small lead in popularity but that may have changed already and after maidana goes to war with floyd it will really turn around, that's casual fans mind you, real boxing fans know regardless. Let me add that most casual non latino fans think of all latinos as the same half the time so they don't really care to differentiate between argentino/cubano etc half the time nor does it matter to them really.Ooh, I don't know about that. From the discussions I've had with latinos(microcosm) they don't like being put in one basket, they like being identified accordingly.
