Dwyer describes Wlad's performance as masterful

You ask that like Chuck Wepner is a win that means anything at all in Muhammad Ali's career. Or that I would say Ali was masterful in that fight. :lol1: The most sensitive fanbase in existence, I swear. Pardon? It was just a straight up question because Ali was in a competitive fight with Wepner at a younger age than Wladimir is blowing out a bigger challenge in Leapai. Not everything has to be some wanna be smart a55 quick witted comeback like you try to portray every time.

Vitali, in my opinion, deserves more respect as a fighter. I just hope that Wladimir will throw the same variety as him. Can't happen. Wladimir would get knocked out if he tried to fight an instinctual fight like Vitali. Like the old adage goes, Vitali was a born fighter while Wladimir was made into one.

Wlad actually showed some other tricks in his bag this fight and stil was able to control the distance. Beautiful work He did look amazing and showed some new stuff, even went to the body but I couldn't help but think, "this fight would be over if he would just shoot the uppercut". Leapai was a sitting duck for it early in the fight but it just didn't happen.

That's very true. He was highly praising Bradley before Pacquiao fight, he was even saying this might be Bradley's generation not Floyd's, but after Manny beat him, he didn't even put him nowhere near P4P list. With Wlad it's the pretty much the same. He respects Vitali much more than Wlad, but he did made a few very good comments on this one. Lateral movement is one of them. I only realised it later after the fight, but Wlad is moving incredibly well for 38 old, 250lb guy. I don't see the guy who can effectively defend against his jab, straight right and left hook. He can take you with either of them. Vitali, in my opinion, deserves more respect as a fighter. I just hope that Wladimir will throw the same variety as him.

Just re-watched the fight. Admittedly I was intoxicated when it was live. Pure target practice for Wlad; but he did vary his shot selection well. Leapai showed heart, but was really a slow moving punchbag. Wlad tried to get him out of there early - detonating big right hands - and it was a lovely KO finish. Like I told you yesterday :fing02::boxing:

It was the best I've seen Wlad, I think. He was much more aggressive than usual but still didn't waste any punches. That's exactly the way he should be dealing with the bums he keeps getting fed.

Pretty much, he tries to be as objective as he can but just like the rest of us there are some fighters he just doesn't rate and they have to do more to convince him than the ones he naturally likes who often haven't proven much. On this, he's right in that it was a very good performance but he never takes into account the standard of opponent. Leapai is not a top 10 HW, he may not even be top 15.

You can show your speed and coordination by shadowboxing. speed, coordination, movement and ring generalship are the things Wlad presented beautifully. It is not even about punching at all..

How do you not assume he looks good with Leapai. I like Leapai but the guy isn't Povetkin for crying out loud. He also did a post fight video praising Wlad for the Pianeta fight. Again, nothing against Pianeta but he was one of the least challenges Wlad's had to fight against for a title. Yep Wlad is elite, i dont understand why people dont rate him higher. He is also among the hit and dont get hit fighters. He wins his fights like a true dominant champ, without receiving unneccesary punishment. He's too good for someone that size
