Why did a lot of you want Mathysse to lose so bad?

I didn't care who was gonna win the fight. I just wanted to see a good fight since the Figueroa fight was so boring and this match up was perfect.

I was just wondering because Lucas Mathysse is the epitome of everything good in the sport. I can't see how he has haters. Great win for Mathysse.

It's a combination of Garcia fans, Mayweather fans and generally people who still resent the hype from the last time. There's your answer OP. I disagree with the Garcia fan thing. In fact I believe Mattysse fanboys wanted Danny to lose more than any Garcia fan wanting Lucas to lose. And they dug themselves another hole thinking he'd storm through Molina. Me as a fan of both have recognized that styles make fights and you won't look good all the time. All in all I think Lucas underestimated Molina and had to make some adjustments, which he did and secured victory in an amazing fight.

A lot of us Ricans are salty that Danny lost on his homecoming. We wanted to feel better about swift getting outboxed by a limited fighter, so we rooted to lucas to lose. We can't give him credit, so we sayin he ain't gat no chin doe. I'd green you if it weren't for those Clipper sigs.. :lol1:

Those who want him to lose tend to be the sweet science snobs who can't stand when a balls to the wall fighter gets too much recognition and praise. How can you say that, we still don't know who wanted him to lose to begin with.

PEOPLE WHO WANTED LUCAS TO LOSE, THREE TYPES; 1. Danny Garcia fans 2. Adrien Broner fans 3. People who just hate boxers who come to fight and would rather watch Fig vs Belmont II Wrong!. I was rooting for Molina in this fight because, I like Molina. I always loved his come back from the brink style. It always reminded me of Gatti in a way. I like Matthysse also mind you, but tonight I wanted Molina to beat the impossible odds again.
