Canelo in Texas = 40,000 sold tickets. That generates a lot of money for both fighters.
Since we know Lara only sold 256 tickets at his last fight in AC or wherever.
Why after the fight? He already fought the P4P king at age 22-23. He took his boxing lesson, improved and never made excuses (when he could have complained about the catchweight). He came back, KO'd a guy who had given the proclaimed # 154 lber a hell of a fight and stopped him. Then he challenged himself again, probably against his promoter's advice, and is taking on the guy that nobody in the general public cares about. Only us hardcore boxing heads know about Lara and his skills.
He's doing this sh1t for us, when the so called gods of boxing don't even try to take on the biggest challenges.
I wouldn't be surprised if after this fight Canelo gives one of the Charlo brothers a shot because he loves to challenge himself and prove his doubters wrong.
And you must love getting green k you sly devil you. I just green'd ya
IF Canelo is forced to sit back and counter him. Like he tried to do with Mayweather, he will have more success imo because Lara is slower and his defense is not that great.
The issues he had with Mayweather imo were he was step behind in everything. I think this is a lot more even playing field, and Canelo does everything better than Lara accept maybe move.
Canelo will be the agressive fighter that night, Lara is more of the counter puncher. Lara won't be pressing the action like Trout had to, due to the open scoring. Open scoring ruined that fight IMO.
Lara and Canelo have about the same power. Both made Trout look like Bambi but I think Lara moves better and is the sharper counter puncher not to mention southpaw.
Canelo does put combinations quicker though.
Canelo ain't Donaire (he doesn't try to land one KO punch), and Lara, sure as hell, ain't Rigo.
Canelo is underrated still imo. Lara is overrated.
I think it's a 50-50 fight.
Hope this fight happens in Texas so we get the correct result.
Canelo can win against anyone in texas lol.
But Lara will beat down Canelo and hopefully he stops him so we don't have to see a robbery. After this fight I will like Canelo more for taking on the highest risk at 154

It's at the MGM. And LOL for even wanting this fight to be in Texas of all places.
Canelos too flat footed. Styles make fights and Lara is wrong for Canelo.
Angulo cuts the ring off better than Canelo. Not sure if Canelo can catch Lara, Ginger doesn't punch on the move

This fight will be good, but it's going the distance. The way Lara & Canelo fought Angulo were 2 completely different fights by 2 completely different styles. Yes Lara got dropped twice but he bounced back and kept it pushing. It should be pretty close for the most part, but we'll see how Canelo's conditioning is seeing as he has a history of getting tired, and if Lara doesn't go to Canelo's body early or control his distance, things could get real interesting.
Lara is going to school Gasnelo. Gasnelo won't be able to catch Lara. This will be like a replay of Mayweather-Canelo
Lol. I do admire the confidence. I really can't wait for this fight.

If Canelo boxes with him he's in for a long night. He needs to be in outstanding shape to catch Lara anywhere. His legs are his biggest weakness. I see this similar to the Mayweather fight.
Thing is, Canelo is a good boxer. Canelo was boxing "fair" with Mayweather early in the fight.
Canelo is also a good counter-puncher.
Canelo does a little bit of everything pretty good.
And Lara is not nearly as elusive as Mayweather.
The body work will be key. Chop down at it and Lara will be there for taking.

Lara is an ATG. He defeated another ATG Angulo who used his ATG pressure to knock him down twice. Lara wrecked angulo so he lost his ATG status, and ATG pressure the next fight. Making Lara even more of a legend.
Nice, that means Canelo is going to destroy a ATG with articulate body work.
