After seeing all the threads bashing Chino as a flat footed, tailor-made opponent for Floyd I was wondering how his fans feel about this? I know people are only trashing Chino as a way to diminish Floyd if he were to win. So again, How do the Maidana fans feel about this?
People are acting like Maidana is a pushover. How the hell is a guy in his absolute prime, with an 80% KO ratio, and the current WBA welterweight champion of the world, a pushover?

He is no bum. These armchair boxers are the worst critics.:spankme:
Simply put, anyone that thinks Maidana is bum really doesn't no anything about boxing. If Chino is a bum, than 95% of the boxers in the world are bums and that is laughable.
This. I do get annoyed when after a Maidana win where he looks good instead of praise its " But he lost to Devon, couldn't KO Khan, Morales gave him trouble" Every fighter except a rare few have had bad nights and lsoes yet Maidana seems to never be able to get past these bad nighst even after a good win.
Also this article about who wins between Maidana vs Broner really annoyed me, such bias towards Broner who hadn't ever faced a WW puncher like Maidana. Some of these predictions were laughable to the extreme.
"I expect Broner to put on a clinic and drop Maidana at least once on his way to a very wide decision win"
"Broner will counter Maidana’s crude assaults with ease and use the ring to his advantage. After four or five rounds Maidana will be sickened and reluctant to lead, which will give “The Problem” the invitation to release blazing attacks of his own. I think this will be a brutal demonstration of Broner’s talents and I hope Maidana doesn’t get badly hurt, TKO Broner win"
"Broner has more firepower than Devon and, while Maidana may have some fun moments, Broner breaks him down before its over".
"As much as you would hope that Marcos Maidana’s power would be enough to carry the night, it won’t.
Adrien Broner is quick as lightning, and while he doesn’t have Floyd Mayweather-like defense, he has a good beard. He is also an outstanding boxer".
"Maidana may touch the canvas early, courtesy of a left hand to the body, and will continue to eat shots over the course of a sustained beat-down from Broner."
"By a lopsided score of 23-2, the experts see Adrien Broner defeating Marcos Maidan to remain unbeaten a in defense of his WBA welterweight belt".
So yeah a lot don't think much of Maidana, maybe think he is a bum but clearly most are idiots who don't know very much about Boxing at World Level. he just isn't flashy (in defense) and textbook (in offense) enough for most to actually able to rate correctly.
Chino is the WBA welterweight champion with a good resume , high KO % and been in very good fights since he start fighting in usa.
And is today top 5 welterweight!!!!!
All these retards trying discredit floyd for fighting maidana are one week away to STFO
I was talking boxing with some people last night and Lara was called a bum, and he's fighting Canelo, imagine if he was fighting Floyd.
Lara would be the new Andre Berto
You should ignore fools bro. They bring you down to their level of stupidity then beat you with experience.
Now That makes sense, although you know that you will be called a cherry picker or your opponents will be called a BUM it's still best to fight the toughest competion available, in which Floyd is not doing with Maidana.
Because Lara was a available option he had.
But you can't really believe that People wasn't gonna call Lara or Pwill a bum do you?
Just keeping it real, Floyd cherry picks, and haters hate him lol
No one, or anyone to be taken seriously would have called Lara or the Punisher bums because Floyd signed to fight them.
Simply put, anyone that thinks Maidana is bum really doesn't no anything about boxing. If Chino is a bum, than 95% of the boxers in the world are bums and that is laughable.
You are crazy if you think Lara wouldn't have been called a bum if Floyd fought him. People would be bringing up the P Will and the Angulo fight as proof that he is nothing special.
Same thing with Paul Williams, If Floyd would have fought Paul Williams because would have been calling Williams a bum the moment the fight was signed.
Lara beat the crap out of the Punisher and stopped Angulo. I highly doubt even you believe the spatter you're creating. Furthermore if he beats Canelo, no one could call him a bum. That's just silly.
"Hey, if I fought Pacman in 2010, or Martinez, or Lara next, they'd call them all bums. So I'll just go fight Maidana". Say that nonsense out loud. People will think your either crazy or stupid bro.
Maidana isn't a (bum). He simply is not in Floyd's class and the fight is a total mismatch. Instead of johnwoo making threads acting like he cares about what fans think, he should be wondering why the hell Floyd chose such a fighter to fight.
because he is exactly that, end of thread.
quit making this to be some sort of legit fight, floyd himself admitted this is a cherry pick. just like guerrero and ortiz
So Maidana is a bum? By the boxing definition of bum. Maidana is that?

Maidana is not a bum. He's a brawler version of Bernard Hopkins or Floyd Mayweather -- doesn't balloon up inbetween fights like Adrien Broner and Brandon Rios, moves his head unlike Adrien Broner and Brandon Rios, makes adjustments unlike Adrien Broner and Brandon Rios, and uses effective and efficient footwork unlike Adrien Broner and Brandon Rios.
Also Maidana is a crafty veteran. And his speed is underrated. He was faster than Broner when they fought. Mayweather even eluded to Maidana's speed.
"Maidana outhustled Adrien Broner."
I'm excited for this fight. I think Maidana lands a right hand early and Floyd gets hurt -- or even knocked down or, dare I say, knocked out... cold.
:lol1: maidana looked bad because he wasn't forced to do the 2 step like Floyd was after getting seriously rocked and going life and death with corley.
He never went life and death with Corley, he was however badly hurt though. Corley took a serious beating in which he actually gave up in the later half, had Mayweather screaming at him literally. It does seem that my criticism of Maidana has you a little hurt since this is irrelevant :lol1:
Maidana looking like absolute crap is definitely one of them.

If you watch that fight again it was competitive through the first 5-6 rds and it seemed as Maidana just quit trying.
Clearly wasn't one of his best nights as a fighter. Ive never seen a fighter held so accountable for one loss before. Especially considering how he has looked since, now he's in the best shape of his life right this second.
Maidana today with a ref who knows how to ref, and Maidana outworks him over 12 for a UD.
Your whole basis on Alexander winning is him be allowed to clinch over 100 times without penalty again. It's completely flawed logic.
Righty vs a lefty is usually always gonna lead to tangle ups, not as excessive as YOU want to believe, so refs know they have to be patient. That's not my whole logic either, go read my posts.
Yall must be tired of hearing this as we are of hearing about old tape, but since he got with a good team its made a world of difference in Maidana.
The difference in form alone is painfully apparent, let alone the conditioning, mindset, and ect.
and he overwhelms alexander if hes in peak physical shape. Roughs him up and stops him. Similar to what porter did with more emphasis on the damage dealt. It would be a revenge match so... im confident chino would come in breathing flame

may the both of you point out who Madonna has beaten after getting blown out by Alexander and the make sure to include the styles in that short list of nobody's

There's also that.
Let me explain to you why Maidana could never fuck with Alexander, he doesn't set up his offense fast enough, Maidana can throw short punches but he isn't fast enough to beat Alexander to the punch, isn't fast enough to consistently get inside enough, it'll always, I repeat always be Alexander getting off first then tying up Maidana. Doesn't matter if Master Roshi trained him and Yajirobe was giving him senzu beans after every round in the corner. Maidana doesn't have the tools to deal with Alexander nor does he have the physicality to not only get out the clinch but fight out of it as well.
Take three to land one. And if hes in peak physical shape youre damn skippy he has the physicality to overwhelm Alexander. With peak physical form comes greater speed, power.. and yes, the ability to overpower someone in the clinch.
Although I think Chino is underrated skillwise and a quick study..sometimes its not just about skill its about who is the better man at the time. Who prepared better and who wants it more.
