Was it a win against a mentally destroyed Juan Diaz? Or....?
Because as I remember he lost every big fight he's ever been in, but yet he's an ex-world champion.
Then I see people saying he can beat the likes of Pacquiao, sheer nonsense.
So what exactly is this boxer who is pushing 10 losses and virtually lost every big fight if his life, claim to fame?
What am I missing here?
His claim to fame is not ducking anyone, his sense of humour, and the fact that the man has never been KO'd.
Stopped yes, but even then he was never going to be knocked out by the likes of Khan or Hatton.
The guy absolutely deserves his fame for doing what he does and thats coming to fight.
The beating he took from Cotto.
not many guys have the balls to go in for a beating like that with no power and grit it out. Especially with a broken jaw.
hes the magic man the kid that beats boxers with no left hand (earlier in his career) and no power i think his claim to fame is just that and hes won championships multiple times
the paulie strategy=cherry pick c level fighters until an A level fighter comes calling and whoops his ass. repeat process for ten years. he's only beaten 2 ranked fighters his entire career and they were ndou and senchenko so yea pretty crappy. he's lucky he has a good promoter.
Judah was ranked, and still is. So was Diaz.
Like I said in another thread: overhyped club fighter with a big mouth. Sick and tired of these absolute retards pretending a lack of power is the only thing holding him back from bum status. He barely even touched Khan and Hatton, for christ sake; these guys were just quicker, sharper boxers who had the great fortune of being in there with a guy who has no semblance of head movement.
It's also worth noting that he lost to Ngoudjo and Cano. The second fight with Ndou could have gone either way as well.

Thanks for the info. Another question, who did he take the titles from at 140, and 147?
N'dou and Senchenko (beat him in Ukraine) I think. I know they aren't the greatest fighters but Paulie has been willing to fight the best fighters around his weight even now that he's past prime.
Being the only fighter in history to get a haircut mid fight.
