Hear me out. At this point, Bradley is the poor man's version of Mayweather. He's a smart boxer, defensively sound with good experience AND he already knows how Manny fights. That right there I think is just as good of having Floyd fighting Manny, style wise. With that said, tonight's fight is real intriguing. Can't wait!
People act like the TS is trying to say that Bradley is the next Floyd Mayweather. TS isn't saying that Bradley and Mayweather are identical. TS isn't even saying that Bradley and Mayweather are anywhere near similar.
TS is saying that this is the closest stylistic match up we can get. That's absolutely true. There isn't a slicker boxer mover in the 147 weight class division besides Devon Alexander. There isn't anyone who comes closer to Floyd Mayweather's style than Bradley. It may not be identical, or even extremely close, but it is still the closest of the possible choices.
Stop crucifying the man.
Thank u. At least some1 gets me.
I said broke man's version, not exact. Bradley is the closest to a pure boxer next to Floyd at 147. That says alot and yes I compare tim n floyd's fights vs. JMM. Both boxers convincingly beat a smart counter puncher.

you mean like juddah the d+ version of pacquiao was against froid? stylistic pac-man is the perfect man to defeat him and he knew it or else the "money man" would have collected the huge azz money paycheck he had waiting for him instead of ducking
Judah is a better schooled fighter than Pac. Judah is just a mental midget. Judah has better balance, fights behind his jab, better defence, and throw more educated punches. Pac is just an unorthodox southpaw, and along with his high intensity, high volume output comes his advantages. If a schooled fighter boxes Pac and slows down the pace of the fight, Pac makes a ton of mistakes, and this what Marquez was able to do, despite him having slow feet.
worst comparison ever. Bradley and floyd stylistically are nothing alike. The only thing they have in common is work ethic and dedication to the sport of boxing.
Both give manny problems but floyd is a stylistic nightmare for manny whereas bradley wins because age/heart/boxing ability/drive/ring iq are on his side.

Topic starter has a terrific point.
Timothy Bradley is the slickest fighter Manny Pacquiao has ever faced.
Ever since Pacquiao has started his domination in the lower weight classes, Pacquiao has never faced a slick and moving boxer. He has wins over Morales, Barrera, Marquez, De La Hoya, Diaz, Cotto, Hatton, Margarito, Clottey, and Mosley - but are any of them known for slick boxing? No.
Bradley didn't exactly fall into that category either, until his recent Marquez performance. He used movement, defense, and range to make Marquez miss and look foolish. If that Bradley shows up - it'll be the first time since I could remember that Pacquiao will be fighting a boxer-mover. It'll be the first time Pacquiao is fighting somebody who utilizes movement as part of their game plan, not just a means of escaping from the Pacquiao assault. That's exactly the same game plan that Mayweather has been using for his past two fights.
This is a compelling fight. Topic starter has a great premise.

Like Floyd doesnt have that on his side either, minus the age...
Floyd does, which is why Floyd would be an overwhelming favorite. But it's still an awful comparison.

You are probably basing Bradley off one fight. You don't know what you're saying.
