We all debated who Floyd "ducked" etc.
Who had avoided fights with him.
Who had ducked Floyd?
Please ban anyone who says Pacquaio, this is a serious question.
Floyd always looked for easy titles with the least risk. Gatti was who he wanted. Floyd never cared about legacy. It was like he knew he could take the easy route and someday people on some forum would create an imaginary legacy for him.
Right ok even though he'd just beaten the best two fighters at 130 and then the best fighter at 135..
Floyd wanted Tszyu, as soon as that option was off the table he went for the next highest ranked fighter which was Gatti.
Well that's just not true at all.
He offered Lazcano the fight twice, both of which were turned down.
He wanted the Tszyu fight aswell and that couldn't be made either for no fault of his own.

Lazcano turned down over a million for a Mayweather fight, but was given only 2 weeks notice.

He offered him the fight again at 140 before the Gatti fight which would have been a WBC Title eliminator which wasn't on short notice and it was again turned down.
The most recent i think is Danny Garcia he and his father do not seem interested which sucks, cause i think if Lucas won he would of fought Floyd and the way they where hyping him up it would of been an opponent fans would of accepted over Khan or Maidana
i'm sure you have a source for that quote.
you dont need a source for that, just go back and watch floyds earlier fights in his career and listen to what larry merchant says about floyd . Its a known fact.
Floyd chose not to fight those guys, they didn't have a choice.

It's hard to know for sure if he was avoided but a lot of guys definitely didn't fight him.
Juan Lazcano was one, Tszyu was another, Hatton when both were at 140. Shane Mosley twice before their fight at WW in 2010.

Fighters don't generally duck defensive fighters. They duck aggressive knockout artists. So when they say GGG is ducking Lara, or everyone is ducking Rigo, forget that bs. Mares wanted Rigo. Sta Cruz wanted Rigo. Where is all that ducking nonsense coming from? Only reason why they won't fight such fighters is because they've got six fans and there's no money to make in them.
I'm sure you have a source for that quote.
Obviously I'm being facetious, but Cotto was a prospective opponent at the time, was at the Gatti fight. After the fight, nothing was ever mentioned about Cotto and Mayweather fighting. Remember, Floyd was making rumblings about leaving Top Rank and Bob Arum didn't want to hang an L on Arum's undefeated fighter on the way out.
Seriously speaking though, he was high risk, low value for many fighters. Mosley, Oscar, Tszyu all avoid Floyd at times of their careers. Cotto as well. He is the most notable one. He was at the Gatti fight, saw that and went back to speaking exclusively Spanish and told Bob Arum to go **** yourself, I'm not getting in the ring with that.
