did maidana ruin ortiz?

Maybe the man who conquered Maidana is the one who ruined Ortiz because he got knocked out in only 2 rounds in the amateurs by Amir Khan. Perhaps Ortiz was never the same fighter after facing Khan in the ams.

I don't think he exposed Ortiz more of like showed him his limits as a fighter. Maidana was Ortiz first big step up. Ortiz was probably confident going into the fight but after he dropped maidana and maidana showed heart and hurt Ortiz he damaged him mentally Ortiz wasn't expecting the beat down he recieved. And to be fair to Ortiz after maidana most of the dudes he fought were names so I don't knock him but I think he is well and truly done now that josesito took his jaw off.

YES! just like he did with khan , kotelnik , cayo and probably broner Kotelnik? Please go and educate yourself about boxing, Kotelnik won that fight even if it was close. And for Ortiz, that boy ruined himself, he shouldn't be in the sport, shown that he is not worthy of earning the 6 figure $ that he does. Yes, it would of happened sooner or later, Ortiz is not mentally there in boxing, he is too involved outside of boxing or he would be tearing up a division or two right now.

I think he ruined his confidence for sure. Ortiz had the same problem Berto had, he got to a certain level and stopped trying to get better, and IMO if your not getting better, your getting worse, because as yur career goes on, you get exposed. Great post addix.

Maidana ruined him, Berto took everything else left he had in him and Floyd finished him with one of the cheapest sucker punches I personally have ever witnessed second to the scumbag who decked dude after the fight and is in prison for killing Max K's brother.
