Being told that a bout between Danny Geale and Mathew Macklin is a possibility for May 24th on HBO. Nothing finalized #boxing
Rumor so far, but looks like more than coincidence

Just got off the phone. Could have some exciting news to announce in the next few days.
Pumped. Cant wait to get back in the ring.
Any guesses at who it can be?
Maybe that guy that won on GGG/Adama undercard, he's an Aussie too.
Andy Lee and Macklin free. Shoot, Macklin posted this earlier today...could be coincidence... hoping it's not

Will have some big news coming soon!
Boom shaka laka
So..... My next fight is in the making against Matthew Macklin in the US on May 24th....keeping focused.— Daniel Geale (@RealDealGeale) April 7, 2014
Management are finalising negotiations and expect to make an announcement shortly....!!— Daniel Geale (@RealDealGeale) April 7, 2014
Geale is next in line for the Sturm-Soliman winner
Macklin doesn't have a top 10 ranking with the IBF
if he fights Macklin, is that an eliminator?
don't mind the Macklin fight at all, would pick Geale to win it
but surprised he'd bypass a would be title shot for it
Fight to get back on HBO since he don't have a title now. His duckin ass didn't want none when ggg was his mando

Me too.
High work rate and good stamina. While Macklin would start off strong, Geale would outlast him.
Then again, I had Geale over Barker
Hey, I thought Geale/Barker was hella close. I'd pick Geale the same way, the stamina and volume. Plus I think Macklin's a little bit used up now. Lee seems like a cool guy but I have trouble seeing him cutting it with most top ten types. I just don't think he's built for it. He did dominate Vera before Vera continued upsetting and/or almost upsetting good fighters but it's still 1-1 and nothing else to go on but getting brutalized by Junior. I think Geale would knock him around down the stretch. Maybe I'm stupid but I think Lee/Vera rubber match could actually be interesting even if Lee dominated the second.
What about Jenning/Perez when was the last time HBO did a 3header
Jennings/Perez seems all but announced.
I don't know about Lee/Nelson.
Lee is evidently on loan to hearn next month
Look for announcements soon! RT @paulhega11: Any talks/progress made for @mattmacklin and @AndyLeeBoxing. Come on @loudibella...— Lou DiBella (@loudibella) April 6, 2014
so something is happening
Hate to be that guy that's looking into plurals.... but Lou might get Nelson/Lee and Macklin/Geale on May 24

I'd take him over Macklin or Lee if it happens.

YES!
And on May 24th?
Man... May 24 fight looking good... don't think the U.S fans will really care for this matchup though
geale macklin would be good and I could see it happening. Geale Quillin would be great but can't see it happening
Yea, the latter, don't think they're negotiating with a fight to come...but it's against Konecny, so not impossible. They might send him over, but Canelo might be moving up soon as Jacobs wants that ass
Going up then back down?
Probably trying to put on some weight now, then use the down time to lose it.
I don't know, I'm spit balling
yea up and down. cant remmeber what sequence of weights the taylor and pavlik guys took. i think they outgrew middle and didnt go back down , not sure tho and not gonna check boxrec.
but yea, most people saying ggg can fight 160 after going up - im jus asking has it been before at the very top level? i kno stevens went up and down, but then he stayed at 160.
martinez is only big fight at 160.
Lot of people seem to think ggg can easily yo yo between middle and 168, has it been done before?

The intention hou
Yea I got you. They say later this year, but who knows. GGG probably ain't back till the fall after the summer and people move on.
If soliman wins, they'll make that and they won't fight ever.
They could make a fight with Murray
Fk this guy. Ducked a chance at the best fighter in his division . I'm not gonna watch his fight.
Looking back at it now, they wouldn't even have fought because of the whole death thing
