wtf.....Shumenov has no trainer?
Guy's got lots of $s tho, apparently got a fully equped gym in his basement and mountains of fight footage...perhaps he thinks that'll do the job? smh.

'Now his family....is amongst the wealthiest in the country'...I can't put a figure to that, but for those who are familiar with the history of the rise of new capital and oligararchy in the ex-soviet states - the guy could well be (at least by inheritance), the wealthiest pro boxer alive.
Cheers for that detailed explanation bro. That's 1 minute of my life I'll never get back.
You'll need to make this up to me in the future, yeah?
LOL - I suspect I have a little OCD , have you seen the length of most of my other posts? Please forgive.
And he does it with out to much trouble? Do you think he then beats Stevenson?
Nah since Stevenson is a lefty and Hopkins looked awkward against left handed Dawson. Stevenson will land clean on him and win....
I think some other guys have simply copied it - after all there's only so many gestures you can make once the gloves are on and they're announcing you. LOL it's not like you can start reciting Shakespeare in ASL. Other popular ones are the evergreen Air-Punch (sometimes preceded by drum-roll of uppercuts, a la Kovalev) or the Throat Slit (I'm sure Curtis will give us a display tonight).
And don't beat up on yourself, you probably shouldda picked up on the 'X'ecutioner, but everyone's made similar faux-pas at one time or another.

Of course I know his nickname is the executioner, I just didn't add 2+2 together. That doesn't explain why other fighters do it as well though.
Anyway, thanks for your assistance, you charmer.

pretty much...he's been doing that sh1t for like 15yrs now
you never heard of his Executioner nickname?
you never noticed the big ass X signs on his wardrobe?

I will continue to favor Hopkins against big, athletic punchers that haven't fought the variety of styles Hopkins has. And please no triangle theories. Thanks
the X sign? thats because his alias was The Executioner
Oh right, I've always wondered. Makes sense.
I've seen others do it as well, including Thurman.
Michael Woods. He's self trained as of now. He was asked about strategy during a press call and got frustrated. Said he was experimenting.
Even if he brought Emanuel Steward and Eddie Futch back from the dead to train him, he would still lose in one-sided fashion. He's just not worldclass.
We're did u hear he had no trainer?
