I'm thinking in a year from now this fight will be talked about a lot. It has the potential to be a mega fight. Verdejo is gonna be the Puerto Rican Superstar of the future and Ramirez has the Mexican roots. If the stay healthy and keep winning I see it happening in 2 years.
What do you think?
I'm really excited about Verdejo's future. He has a bit of a road ahead of him, but this kid is very fundamentally sound. Had the pleasure of watching him fight from ringside in January. Hope to see him live again in June at Cotto/Martinez.
Great match up! Still long ways out but we can wait until these young dudes mature and truly define their styles.
War Verdejo!

Somehow I think they'll match Verdejo with Oscar Valdez first. A Ramirez fight would be milked by Arum as long as they're healthy and looking sensational but I give it 3 full years from now until it would live up to the one of the biggest events ever.
