Who will go further in their career, will it be broner or khan. I believe Khan will go a further than broner because Khan has proven himself against elite fighters, where as Broner has a lot of hype about him being the next superstar but he has only beaten cab drivers excluding maidana and Paulie.
accomplishments till now and further. you have to take consideration of both fighters past performances too.
Khan has achieved a lot more and has had more than twice as many fights but is 3 years older. He also achieved more at the same age as Broner but less than him the same number of fights into his career.
From now the political dynamics of how they fare will have a huge influence. Broner can be protected and built up slowly. Khan is past that stage now and the public won't suffer more Molina,Salita,Diaz opponents. He has set himself up to fight Mayweather and talked about retiring young. I feel he will do the absolute minimum he can get away with to fight Mayweather, then lose to Mayweather when and if he fights him. Then fight some good fighters and then possibly retire when he gets beaten.
Broner is not under that kind of pressure and is younger and has more ahead of him so I see him having many more fights than Khan from here on and can be protected more.
king4oranges, He makes a good point by further are talking about overall career or from this point onwards?

Doesn't the question "who will go further" mean, from this point forward? Not past accomplishments. At this point I would say Broner goes further because Khan is probably FUBAR. His chin is absolutely wrecked and I don't see Khan ever beating a top tier fighter(Collazo is a gatekeeper imo).

at least u acknowledged ur mistake some these guys on here are ridiculous
Taller doesn't mean bigger. I would not say there's a big size difference at all.
Boner looked tiny compared to Maidana, when Khan and Maidana fought Khan looked slightly bigger. There is a big size difference Broner could make lightweight again Khan would strugle to make LWW. As you go up in weight height becomes more important. Broner has no business fighting at WW.

The bottom line is WW is Khan's natural weight now it is not Broner's. Broner is a Lighweight/LWW and Khan is a WW. I am pretty sure the majority on this forum see Khan being bigger than Broner.
I am fully aware of that just as you are fully aware that Khan is much taller and bigger than Broner even at Lightweight. Khan did not jump straight from Lightweight to WW in fact his move to WW has been delayed after he lost to Peterson. Making the weight at LWW has not been easy for him recently. There is a big size difference. The point I am making is that the common opponents comparison you were trying to make is not sound.

Khan's opponents are used to measure Broner so what does that tell you?
Malignaggi (Khan stopped'em)
Maidana (beat convincingly and dropped)
and now Carlos Molina (Khan just.....).
In an unrelated news Graham Earl is announcing a comeback to boxing. :lol1:
Khan started at lightweight and then moved up to 140lbs.

IMO Broner does not belong in the same weight class as Khan ,he is a lot smaller. Broner is a lightweight/LWW and Khan is now a WW. So the common opponents measure is flawed. Khan has not fought a light middle weight but if you think of it in those terms you can see the common opponents measure does not really add up.
Broner got gready looked at the LWW division and saw it was too tough and jumped on the softer touch Malignaggi. With his size keeping the title was always going to be a tall order.

Do you know what a triangle theory is? I wasn't arguing whether Khan would beat Broner or not. I think he would but for different reasons.
I was looking at their common opponents to gauge how far they'd go. Broner has struggled and lost to the same opponents that Khan was beating at the same age.

Ah triangle theories...good luck with that logic
