Who are the Greatest Fighters in History in Performing under Adversity???

Dempsey, when he fought Willard for the heavyweight title, he was out weighted by almost 100 pounds and a height disadvantage of 6' + and yet destroyed Willard. Of the near future, Bradley had shown tremendous heart and courage in the Provodnikov fight. Their where multiple times I felt the fight could have been called if Bradley wasn't fighting off of pure instinct.

Floyd Patterson was knocked down 15+ times in his career. He got dropped by Ingemar Johansson 7 times in the same round before getting the fight stopped against him in the THIRD round.... Skip to 8:00 to see a brutal 3rd round.. after the 1st KD Patterson didnt even know where he was and got hit with an unseen punch causing the second KD.... brutal round, just brutal. Okay this isn't the beating adversity, but yknow what I was gettin at, he got heart and was a champion.

Muhammed Ali too. For doing that to Big a George in the jungle when he was a huge underdog. Getting up after that brutal shot by Frazier in their first fight. Going to war with Frazier in unbearably hot and intense conditions in Manilla and then fighting well beyond his best, always with dignity, never embarrassed and picking up some brilliant wins on the way.

JMM hands down. That dude gets knocked on his ass and gets back up to punish his opponents (putting the Floyd fight aside) Tim Bradley also. Dude is the toughest guy in boxing right now IMO JMM is the toughest guy right now, followed by Bradley. Bradley is tough too, but he hasn't been in as many grueling moments as Marquez has, the Ruslan fight was his most grueling. JMM has had many fights where he has been beaten bad, wobbled hard on the feet, knocked down hard, and came back.

I thought of Bradley. The guy was out on his feet fighting Ruslan and still; by the grace of God he managed to win. Don't forget when Kendall holt dropped him with one of the hardest power punches ever, Bradley is similar to Marquez they are resilient and can come back from adversity. Bradley can even lose the fight and still win, he always finds a way to win lol
