(well let me rephrase that, why should a quote on quote "warrior" such as provo worry) if rios says that he can make the weight sign the fight..........also provo could put a weight stipulation in the contract just to give rios a extra boost of motivation.......... provo doesn't fancy the fight. period point blank...........nore does his team. has nothing to do with weight. also provo fought at 147 against bradley...........get real. :lol1: Very simply..history. Rios has a habit of deliberately missing weight,big time to gain an advantage over guys who walk around at 150 range and fight at 140. Provo is the champ now at 14o lbs. If Rios can make 140 then I'm the f'n Easter Bunny. Rios could barely make WW for Pac fight. He walks around at 170 lbs and isn't the most motivated fighter. Canelo/Lara could do the same numbers as Canelo/Angulo, especially if they sell it right. Showtime could air both of their fights with Angulo for a month before the fight and it would gain a lot of interest in seeing the winners fight each other, not to mention that it would be a unification fight. Canelo/Lara could definitely do 350,000 buys like Canelo/Angulo did. I don't think so man. Two toe-to-toe Mexicans were fighting each other in Angulo-Canelo, is a little different to Alvarez chasing Lara around the ring. Plus, Canelo will likely want to do more than 350,000 buys with his next fight.

it probably has alot to do with pillow fist fraud duckweather walking him down and beating the sh1t out of him making his head snap all around like he was making a new exorcist movie all without any real power behind his shots and trout beating him in one sided fashion while going on to get his azz kicked by the cuban ..whats your reason why Alvin would be afraid to fight Lara Stop with the Lara ****e,please.He has had 5 big prize fights. He lost to Molina.B.S Gift Draw He was losing to Vanes.He looked sluggish and did not impress at all. He beat Paul Williams.He took a loss but the Molins fight evened things out. He KO'd Angulo after taking a beating.This fight impressed me the most. He looked good getting up off the canvas and showing heart. He looked great against Trout. I expected a better fight but he did well. Canelo would easily beat him,IMO. :boxing::boxing::boxing:

to be honest....i don't see how so many of you are seeing this as a "walk in the park" for lara. in my opinion canelo has the power timing & combinations that could give lara a run for his money.........the key thing that canelo would try to put on lara is hard body shots. 50 50 fight in my opinion...........

I respect UTEP and way2strong a lot now because they're Mexican fans (I think) and don't sugar-coat stuff just to defend fighters from their own nationality and call ish how they see it, kinda like how I do regarding our British fighters

Canelo/Lopez, Canelo/Gomez, and Canelo/Cintron were all big money fights for Canelo though, right? To be fair, he does have to sell PPV now. Lara's not the most saleable of opponents. High risk, low reward.

Anyway, Lara's style matches up poorly for Canelo plus it wouldn't make for an entertaining PPV fight. I.e. he would probably lose and it would be boring.
