I wouldn't bank on Danny landing the same shots Marquez did those two are leagues apart. The truth is Danny will be a legit WW contender and possibly a champ, but he's nowhere near as good as you want him to be and that's been proven. He has more than enough to compete just don't expect him to run the division anytime soon.

A lot of opponents at 147 beat Garcia, why you think Angel wants him to remain at 140? Size, and a weaker division. While he got the 'W' Garcia has been beat up in his last three fights v Judah, Matthysse and Herrera. It's not going to get any easier at 147.

Danny has been fighting at 140 for his whole career and eventually your body grows which was the case vs herrera. Lets also remember that all fighters have controversial wins on their resumes so don't judge him off of one fight. He beats pac by ko due to an over aggressive manny lunging in with power shots. He beats bradley because bradley can't punch. Keith thurman is too green, and Maidana is Matthysse all over. Sincerely a true a boxing fan. If he doesn't land a bomb left hook, he could lose to every boxer at 147. I'd take Paulie to school him at 147 barring a lucky left hook. No way. Bradley and Pac take him to school. Maidana might put him out. Another 50-50 fight purely based on styles. Thurman is anther 50-50 fight.. BTW, if Maidana is Matthysse all over again, then Maidana will likely win, as a freak eye injury wouldn't occur.

Weight might be a problem. I don't care what Angel says, any time a fighter puts 16 pounds on after the weigh-in, you're really big for the weight class and struggled to make weight. I wouldn't blame that for his performance against Herrera though. Herrera took advantage of flaws we know exist for Garcia, flaws that other fighters at welterweight could take advantage of. Bradley would beat him. Pac would beat him down. Thurman would be interesting. Alexander might spoil his way to a decision. Garcia would have some troubles.
