A man's defense and speed culminates into a level of elusiveness you have never witnessed, combining counter-punching whilst boxing on the back foot early on in the fight with the steady progression towards standing in the pocket where quickness is utilised in the exchanges.
It's all the mind games. It has to be taxing mentally.
All the missed punches that get countered. Frustration kicks in. Those walls of self-belief etched into your mind begin to erode.
One second hes the smaller man the next hes walking you down.
Then when you finally catch him clean he smiles at you.
It all has to be so discouraging that you eventually lose belief.
I always think it's kind of silly when people say this
Isn't that how every single fighter should be? Confident of victory? If you don't believe you're going to win, you shouldn't be fighting
yeah you should be temporarily retired
found it yesterday while looking through some pacquiao gifs in google images
thought it was funny so im using it
You need to do a Manny back in his No Fear Trunks days. Awesome.
Where the hell did you find that pic of Pac looking like a 40 year old cab driver with gloves and boxing trunks on? :lol1:

Mayweather wouldn't fight them if he wasn't sure he would win. His opponents try but it doesn't matter.

because they are paid to lose? it is golden boy after all. mosley hurt him badly then immediately started throwing arm punches. his power disappeared like that malaysian airplane. the other guys just stood there. i'm calling his entire career since joining golden boy fixed in some way. i don't think hatton was in on it but they had cortez there in order to ensure victory. all the other fights are highly suspect.
Maidana won't give up.. He is very mentally strong...
Hatton had the same exact demeanor and he ended up on his back. We'll see, it'll be exciting that much is certain.

to be frustrated in chasing an elusive foe does not easily equate to going into survival mode.....
there is a very big difference between frustration and self preservation....specially concerning one's health....
No he doesn't bhop has higher boxing IQ.Mayweather has a lot of physical gifts.Hopkins does not.Hopkins relies on his craft and his smarts.
Ridiculous. How do you even gauge "physical gifts" ?
Mayweather started boxing at like 6 years old, he was able to hone his craft in his athletic prime, unlike Hopkins.
Mayweather relies on his craft just as much as Hopkins.
Because his opponents health come first. They start thinking about how Ali is today and start realizing how they want to spend the rest of their life with their family a health man....so they start going into survival mode.
All attributes that El Chino has.....
Yeah, but he lacks the skills, the speed and probably the chin, too.
If heart and determination were enough to beat Floyd, he wouldn't be the best defensive fighter in the world.
Shane Mosley, Robert Guerrero, Juan Manuel Marquez, Zab Judah, just to name a few "survival mode fighters,.....means you stop trying to win you just want to make it thru the fight.......guys that don't quit end up like Ricky Hatton
floyd sr sums it up quicker, hes just smarter then any of his opponents. highest boxing IQ higher then hopkins. hes always 2 steps ahead of you and adjusts on the fly
