Super middle and welterweight ATM from what I've seen from the Olympics the JMW division and the lightheavy division might have some very good talent on the rise
Super welter is deep too with Alvarez, Cotto, Molina, Lara, Trout,Martisosyan, Andrade, Kirkland, Nelson, Charlo bros, and fringe contenders like Angulo, Garcia, Mundine, Bundrage, Smith, and u can throw Mosley in there too
122. Rigo, Santa Cruz, Martinez, Frampton, Quigg, Mares can move back down, Moreno can move up.
Problem with welterweight is that what few matchups that haven't happened between the best fighters won't happen because of promotional garbage. Hard to be interested in a division where I can't see what I want to see, no matter how talented it is.
welter - mayweather, pac, bradley, jmm, maidana, thurman, porter, malognaggi, guerrero, broner, rios, provodnikov (has fought there), alvarado (has fought there) not to mention the journeyman and prospects: berto, soto karass, mayfield, abregu, dulorme.
To be next is LHW, and also junior middle is close
I'd say Welter seems among the deepest, but I admit that I don't know much below super bantamweight. I know about some guys like Segura, Estrada, Gonzalez, Marquez, Narvaez, and Viloria, but for the most part I'm clueless when it comes to those divisions. My personal favorite however, is middleweight.
Welter
Floyd
Manny
Bradley
Thurman
Porter
Ghost
Khan?
Garcia?
Maidana
Jmm?
Rios
But honestly it comes down to which division has top guys fight each other
Middleweight and heavy could be exciting if the top guys fight each other
147 has another year maybe two left and then 154 is going to take over with all the up and comers. anticipating fighters moving up in weight might lead to 154-160 even 168 being the new hot division going forward.
