I missed the fight...does anyone think Danny won?

every single commentating team including showtime and including the british dudes unanimously had Herrera winning

I scored it 8 rounds to 4 or 116 to 112 for Herrera and that's being generous to Garcia.

The fact that no one working for Showtime, the mouth of GBP, scored it for Garcia says it all. Brian Kenny wanted so hard to be the company man and say Garcia won but the peer pressure of the entire rest of the crew made him keep his sanity for this time only. How do you justify calling Danny Garcia a paper champion? He holds wins over Amir Khan, Jab Judah and Lucas Matthysse, none of those victories are disputed and come against two of the top light-welters of his generation and one former p4p ranked fighter.

No, lets be real here Herrera won. Maybe danny had a bad night or whatever but I don't see how you can make an argument for Garcia I had the fight for Garcia with 115-114 but it was such a close fight, it could have gone either way, win for Harrera or a draw. This is just one of those bouts where you have to score what you think impresses you. In a lot of the rounds I scored for Garcia, he landed the bigger, harder shots. The rounds scored for Harrera were on the bases of activity and what turned out to be a beautiful jab. Having said all that, I can't understand two scores of 116-112, how could someone give Garcia 8 rounds?

posted in the main thread Just watched the fight and it was a close fight, could of gone either way by a round, draw would of been fine. I'm not biased at all towards either fighter.

damn....I liked Garcia but all this makes me think he isn't as good as I thought...guess fighting a few past thier prime fighters dont mean a thing....thanks Amir Khan and Matthysse? Things happen man, styles make fights. This kid wasn't a good match-up for swifty, but he'll bounce back with a solid performance.

He has had a good run and is used to the role of being the underdog expected to lose. I feel he is having problems making the weight and the fight with Matthysse may have taken a lot out of him and he had to really get up for that and knew it going into the fight. Herrera was meant to be an easy fight with the added pressure and expectation of fighting in Pueto Rico for the first time. This is not a role he is used to and Herrera really went for his chance and made him look bad. This experience may work for Danny moving him back to his underdog role with something to prove. Don't count him out just yet.

Garcia - Herrera rd1: 10 9 (close round, felt danny edged it though) rd2: 10 9 (easy to score) rd3: 10 9 (easy to score) rd4: 9 10 (very hard to score, just gave it to herrera, maybe out of pity) rd5: 10 10 (can't make my mind up, think more judges should score even rd's, instead of picking a random recipient) rd6: 10 9 (close round, felt herrera edged it) rd7: 9 10 (very close, very slightly favoring herrera, maybe?) rd8: 10 10 OR 10 9 (very close, felt it was either a draw, or very slightly favoring garcia) rd9: 9 10 (herrera's round) rd10: 10 9 (close round, gave it to garcia) rd11: 9 10 (close round, felt herrera edged it) rd12: 9 10 (herrera round) damn, i wanted to go more indepth about what happened in each rd but i can't remember, just copying the score i put my notepad so draw or herrera losing

Just finished watching it, and Herrera was robbed mate, he out worked Danny for most of the fight.

The majority believe Herrera won, including the entire Showtime staff. Herrera basically put on a prime Dempsey like clinic and Garcia was dumbfounded.
