he had hell of offense in many fights
yes he had a shell ..but in the pac fight he never even threw more than 6 punches ..in fact even in the pocket he never pulled the trigger .
something was off that fight something was very off and he was a tuff kid it wasnt like he could not take a shot..
and he fought twice in the last four years..just twice lol
the whole story does not make sense
guy from gagna ..no big name but is always fighting elites ..fairly un marketable so of course he was a rick and with out a doubt a pure clottey gives pac a fight..
just something about that fight and the turn around story never made sense
Nothing was off to me at all, I even predicted he would do the same sh1t even Jeff Mayweather predicted the fight that Clottey would just shell up and than try to throw punches when safe. the dude had Diarrhea and shat his pants 30 minutes before the fight, the nerves got to him he never been on such a big stage plus he had in his mind the fear of fighting Pacman, similar to how Tyson used to put fear into opponents. Shane Mosley is another one who Froze up and got scared before the fight. There is video of him wanting his corner to stop the fight because he said he couldn't move his feet had blisters from backing up so much.
Also Clottey got a big head there is no conspiracy dude, he got an ego, he boasted to people that Pacman never kill him or KO in the ring so he thought that was honorable that he was the first to go the distance at welter with Pac. He than started demanding big money, he was going to fight on HBO just months after losing to Pacman but shot down the offer he was going to get 300k to fight but he wanted much more. He than fired his manager.

Why do you bring up some old conspiracy?
No he didn't fix the fight, he fought like he always does cover up and wait for his opponent to tire out, only problem is pacman didn't get tired and threw a record number of punches in that fight.
Clottey got a big head after that fight, he started demanding no less than 2.5 million a fight or something like that. That is why he was inactive he got like 4 million for that fight.
He wasn't paid off. Roach gave the gameplan numerous times in interviews prior to the fight: They were going to throw 7-10 punch combinations and move because Clottey doesn't counter in between shots; Clottey waits until the combo is finished. Pac was too fast of hands and too fast of foot for him.
STYLES MAKE FIGHTS
No, I doubt he was paid to leave because he's fought numerous times since then. I think the way he shut down just ruined him mentally. He was able to land punches easily and cleanly whenever he threw them, but he elected to really not do anything.
Whether that was because he was killing himself making 147 and could only throw in small bursts is a big possibility, but who knows.
