I remember watching 24/7 of him throwing quick half armed punches on some sort of metered bag or padded wall while being timed. He'd done over a thousand a setting. Nothing hard , kinda like pacqs quick 10 12 rapid fire punches on the heavy bag. Also his timing was do to training to the tempo of his fathers jazz music.
This is a life altering question that shouldn't even cross your mind.
I can already feel my sense of reality and self being thrown upside down and I haven't even entertained the very thought!!!!!!!!!!

Because he moved a lot and would throw a pretty hard shot in between all the slaps, Plus he fought mostly cans. If he ever fought Jones at 168 he would have got KTFO. If Hopkins gave up his middleweight titles in his prime and legitimately moved up to 168 to fight Joe he would have crushed him.
When Joe was a child, Enzo used to tie fly swatters to his boxing gloves and lock him in a room full of beehives for hours.
Luckily Terry O'Connor was supervising otherwise those bees could have been seriously hurt!
yes calzaghe was a huge power. we all know this. angulo tried to copy calzaghe's style against canelo but he doens't have the power of calzaghe so his slap punches did no damage.
Calzaghe used to run 65 miles at 4AM, and curl about 400 lbs. He was an utter beast and quite frankly a superhuman in his prime. Roy jones song "cant be touched" was actually made in dedication to joe.
Look out the trolls have arrived in spades. doesn't take long when Joes name is mentioned.

they did early on in fights, only to be outhustled inside, hit with even more punches and then turned. Lacy fight is a good example of that happening.
You can see Lacy becoming more and more hesitant to get inside as the fight goes on because he knew he was just gonna get more leather
