dan rafael just tweeted about this
thoughts?
"Yes, regular ESPN. Not ESPN2, home of ***8220;Friday Night Fights.***8221; Not an internet stream on ESPN3.com. The fight will air live on the big daddy, ESPN, on May 10, a Saturday night in prime time at 8 p.m. ET, along with at least one undercard bout to be determined. "
Awesome
This is great news. I hope it gets a solid rating so they can start doing this kinda of stuff more often. I know a lot of my cheap friends who like boxing but don't pay for it will be happy.
since technically its for a HW title I'd just bill at as "The Heavyweight Championship" to get casuals to tune in. even tho we know who THE champ is
Then lie in the commercials and say one of them fights like mike tyson, watch views go through the roof lol.

i think the last one was codrington vs bika
dear god lol... its going to be an awesome night. once again, im not complaining because this will be a cool event and a good fight. but im still a lil bitter that the WBC paired them up again, i know stiverne was the mando but would rather see him against wilder, chisora, pulev, fury but this is fine
This is awesome, and exactly what the sport needs.
We need fights on sunday afternoons, or during the weekday in the evenings. That is how you get boxing back in the mainstream, not 4 PPV fights a year, FNF and everything else on premium cable.
Good for boxing. But why this fight? out of all the fights they could show why did espn pay to have this one?
well lol im not complaining, i cant remember last time we saw a big fight here.
I think the fact that it's a heavyweight championship fight live prime time on espn is what makes it legit
wait did we seriously make the same thread same exact time lol
