he looked like he was moving underwater, with no force or power behind his punches. he didnt even look like the killer angulo or seem interested in the fight. I knew he would lose but I was expecting a kill or be killed mentality at the very least. What happened to his Mexican machismo and pride? what the hell was the matter with him?
canelo wasn't there to be hit. at least he wasn't there to be hit by a slow guy like angulo. angulo was moving his arms to try and establish some contact before he loaded up with big gas. while he was doing that he was being countered.
if he threw the big shots he very well may have been beat up and stopped worse.
Virgil Hunter had to BEG him to take it to Canelo.....sad sad sad...
Yeah it was sad to see round by round Hunter was imploring Angulo to make it a fight while Angulo just sat there with no expression on his face...Was sad to see coz it looked like he was the only one in the corner who knew he couldn't.
He did get the beejayzus whupped out of him from the opening bell, I think he was really hurt almost instantly. Canelo looked huge compared to Perro, he just bullied him at will.
Oh you're awake, How was the Lara fight?:bottle:
He scratched his eye, nice try doe.
Lol you delusional he was crying and flinching in the corner when they touched that watermelon that was growing on the side of his head which is why he turned around like a little b*tch.

Save the picture so you dont forget what a real warrior looks like :fing26:
I read these kind of threads and I wonder if people have followed Angulo's career. I'm a Perro fan and coming into this fight I knew damn well the type of chances we had. Angulo is slow / sluggish and throws stiff punches... very one dimensional. But he is a threat due to his constant pressure and power. Only thing I was counting on was Angulo catching Canelo with something dumb and hurting him badly.
Take a look at the Lara fight and you will notice it is the same Angulo. Difference is Lara runs / retreats and Angulo was able to throw without getting fast combinations thrown back. Lara would throw a jab and 1 or 2 punches and then proceed to change direction and move and it was during that transition that Angulo caught Lara.
Canelo used his offense to keep Angulo hesitant. And when went toe to toe, he would keep a firm guard up which Angulo couldn't punch thru or around. Canelo's fast powerful combinations kept the dog tamed.
Damn dude you know you are really fking wrong or lying when even damn Schaefer is more honest and on point than you. :lol1:
A. Think him and Canelo are BOTH too big for 154 anymore.
B. Think he's always been slow but he's also taken too many punches now and he's almost done for.
C. Canelo is even better with at a higher weight and the experience he got against Trout and Mayweather and had a good plan to do early damage that would carry through the rounds.
D. Good chance he overtrained.
idk nothing made sense about his punches i thought maybe he was trying to set him up, but no he kept throwing really slow pushing punches i don't think it was fixed, i think most likely like a lot of fighters he probably got sick making weight, you could see his rib bones sticking out
thats what angulo does, is throw really slow punches. hes ****ing slow
Boxing is a corrupt sport.
Canelo is a star in need of a spectacular win.
Angulo is a terrible actor who thought winging punches from the opening bell would convince people that Canelo is a tremendous fighter who cripples guys with one punch. Which I find to be comedy since Josesito Lopez, a career LW, took a hell of a beating and still put more hurt into his punches than Angulo did over the entirety of 10 rounds.
Just a poor job all over, especially by Tony Weeks who made a suspect fight even more suspect with his very awkward stoppage.

Good post,, I agree
Then that's on angulo for not being in shape... Did he not just fight at the same exact weight months ago vs Lara, and angulo has always campaigned at 154..
I'm just saying he looked like crap and it is totally on him for not being in shape. I knew Canelo would beat him up but as for people wondering why there was no power on his punches, he was drained and saw how powerful Canelo was from the git. Canelo looked like he outweighed Angulo by a few pounds when he was the one being outweighed.
Who knows what is was but that is not what angulo has ever looked like. Those shots wouldnt have hurt khan.
He looked just like he did vs cintron, or margs vs Shane... Pressure guys like that need to break a sweat and catch rhythm but canelo or cintron never let angulo get on track, much like how Shane just bombed on margs as he walked in, margs could never recover
I don't get the weight drain theory,, the dude is a career 154 fighter and in the biggest fight of his career he should have made weight easily.. Maybe he didn't stay in shape and spent whole camp losing weight

No way you gain 20 pounds of water weight in one night (154 to 174) and still look like a skeleton..dude had serious weight issues.

He had to be super weight drained. Pitty pat, slapping and pushing his punches while looking horribly slow? He looked 100X better against lara.

Just like fox blitzed raging bull...
You can think it's fixed if u want to.. Honestly I have suspicions myself, but in reality, canelo threw major bombs in the first 10 seconds of the fight.. The head snapping power shots and wicked body shots wrecked angulo.. Canelo's aggressiveness took everyone by surprise.. Everyone thought he would come out and look to preserve energy and look to counter angulo coming in and fight off the backfoot.. But instead canelo came out aggressive, kept up a fast pace, threw brutal body shots, and basically bullied the bully..
I was shocked angulo never went down, because canelo was dropping bombs
Canelo fought a perfect fight and couldn't miss angulo.. That is a recipe for disaster for angulo
