Needless to say the guy has all the talent in the world, but cant absorb punishment. Im not sure about chin, but i think its heart. Nonetheless, hes an immensely talented individual who already is a two weight champ. Now those were vacant titles, but hes not being hyped to death like some dudes.
What are his chances against Omar "block punches with my face" Figueroa?
How would he do against other belt holders given he doesnt follow through with his mandatory shot at Omar?
Vasquez (IBF)?
Abril (WBA)?
Crawford (WBO)?
I think he will get grilled by Omar and Crawford. However, he does have a great chance against Vasquez. As for Abril im not even sure what to say as both are great, but ill pick Abril.
I was big on him myself, but after the Sergio Thompson fight i gave up. More than the chin its the heart. Hes skilled and is used to not getting hit so when the going does get rough hes like "damn i gotta get outta here". Not saying he throws fights away, but im sure he can show more heart than he does. Fun to watch regardless.
He did look pretty damn good yesterday though, I will give him that. Sometimes, he looks like magic, then sometimes he looks like a hypejob...I was definitely impressed with him yesterday though,
He is a peculiar enigma, he has all the offensive skills in the world and is extremely fluid. Once that chin gets checked, he can't handle it but I guess that is the thing with every boxer....there is always one or two aspects that keep them from being the complete package so to speak.
Like Khan, great offense, speed, reflexes but weak as dirt paper chin and weak defense. Maidana has great power, good tactics, but a poor defense and bad mobility. Broner, good speed, decent power, but bad defense and no movement. Malignaggi, great movement, great chin, great speed and reflexes, but no power.

Offensively he's great but you can tell he does not react well to getting hit. Against boxers with little power he will do great. Pressure fighters with power will be his kryptonite.
For his chin to eventually get checked again, Linares is insanely skilled, I'll always root for him but that chin of his sucks
He has no defense at all and he doesn't have any ring IQ either.
has Broner officially dropped his belt at LW yet?
it's been a while, haven't been paying attention
either way, he's done at LW so that belt is open
Linares will probably fight Arakawa for the title next
and he'll most likely get KO'd or busted up for a TKO, like always
Omar has been elevated to full champion status according to the WBC site.
I think last night's fight was an eliminator so im assuming its Omar and like you said as usual he'll get busted up and the will of his opponent will take over the skill.

Jorge looked very good tonight but as much as I and a lot of nsb like Arawka the dude offers very little he is slow, isn't a huge puncher and with Jorges movement could never set himself too launch any assault.Jorges face cutting up is always gunna be a problem.I'd like too see Jorge try and fight Abril again.I know it wouldn't be exciting but it would be a top class technical fight

The preciseness and quickness he has are inhumane.
