Senchenko is a good win. As is Jackiewicz and Carson Jones. Matt Hatton is a decent win too.
But aside from that his resume is throwback to the heady sky sports and WBU reign of terror days when being 25-30 and 0 meant absolutely **** all - there were good domestic fighters not matched up against other good domestic fighters enabling them to amass these impressive records. The James Hare's, Michael Jennings', Gary Lockett's et a all had big unbeaten streaks. There are loads of others from that period between 2000-2004 there were some silly records around the domestic scene.
Kell has proved he is too good for domestic level, he has proved he is too good for European level, he should only fight at world level from now even if he loses. I understand the need for a tune-up but his next fight really has to be a for a world title if it isn't Amir Khan.
The Porter fight will determine everything, if Kell loses (without controversy in his favor) he would receive so much criticism. However if he wins, the opportunities will completely be open for him and he may end up getting a shot at the notable fighters at Top Rank and Golden Boy.
If he wins.. Well then the door is open.
PPV fights in the UK - big fights with other WWs and probably only 1 fight away from a fight with a Mayweather, Pacquiao or Bradley.
:lol1:
This guy has been a mandatory challenger for one version or another for 3 years now. Wonder why they never enforce those shots. Maybe because they want to cash out on Khan.
His best win is Senchenko out of 31 wins. Brilliant.
Brook's opponents: Wins 622, Losses 917. All you need to know.
It is very disappointing that he started as a pro in 2004 and he hasn't won a legitimate title.
Problem is they have to fight before April 18th or 8th or something like that - after that he'll get a mandatory letter from the IBF saying he's not allowed to fight for the title or he will be stripped.
A month and some change is not enough to make such a big fight between two top fighters. And it's certainly not enough time to promote it.
He's a skillful fighter yes. I don't really think it's due to over-protection as per say, because when Eddie Hearn took over (i think in 2010) - they made a deliberate choice to go after the british title to get a good ranking, and then go after the IBF so he could get a shot without options.
Obviously, he was due to face Alexander multiple times in that year, but both pulled out on various occasions and that sucks for everyone.
But they really need to step him up now, and I think they know that.
I actually think Thurman looked a lot like a prime David Haye in his last fight. But he himself is relatively unproven at top level, considering his best wins are Soto karass and Chaves - better than Brook's best wins - but not by such a wide margin that's made out, imo.
Problem is that brook has more than 30 fights now, and has only fought 1 ranked guy. pretty embarrassing.

Carson Jones is his best victory lmao and even at that he had to rob Carson in the first fight the over hyped bum!
Its a pity he isn't world level yet otherwise we'd get to see Khan beat him up.
I found the subject quite intriguing as Amir Khan being labelled as his rival and maybe in a future bout with him.
I noticed how people have instantly stated Khan would lose to Brook but when fighters are on two different stands and one has been standing on the higher platform for a certain period of time(as Khan is on the decline), the attitude/experience at this level gives them all the advantages to win.

I was expecting a Showdown between Porter and Thurman but they are considering it to be too early which is within reason and It makes absolute sense for Kell Brook to fight him at the end of this year.
I do hope he takes on Porter as I've been very critical of Kell Brook not taking on top tier opponents. Their is no doubt in my mind that he is a skillful fighter and very talented but It seems as though Hearns has been way too protective of him and he has avoided the title shots he has been give in the past.
Thurman vs Brook would be a great fight as it is quite a clash of styles considering Thurman is referred to by some as the 147 David Haye lol

I wouldn't say Kell Brook is over hyped as I don't see his name come up as often as the hype trains I've seen on NSB. I would say he remains untested as his quality of opposition is not the greatest. However he does have the tools to be a force in his division.

This^^^^
Oh but hey he called out Khan and he didnt fight him because hes an irrelevant hype job so now Khan is a duck.
He'll take on either Porter (or whoever's the IBF champ) or Khan after his next fight - that's for sure. The British public will back off him he isn't fighting one of these guys next.
Unless they were to pick a rabbit out of the hat and get Broner, Thurman or one of the other top names over to the UK.
But he'll take on Porter. I think that's about 90% certain. Doesn't seem like Porter will be fighting anyone in the meantime either.

Thanks for the input.
If Kell Brook doesn't take on Porter after his stay busy fight what's next for him?

Senchenko. He looked good stopping Hatton and was a recent title holder.
Senchenkho.
Then Jackiewicz.
Then Hatton, N'dou and Jones.
Then Saldivia.
