They are all winnable fights, if he fights smart... but all exciting because he's so chinny.
Starting with Prescott (which should be a UK fight). Assuming he comes through that he rematches Peterson for the IBF belt, and assuming he comes through that...then Garcia for the Lineal/Ring/WBC etc.
He is then respected for avenging his losses and nailed on for a mega fight with Floyd or Manny or both.
What are his chances?

Even though he won, he should fight Maidana again as well. He'd beat Prescott because he's not the same fighter at all. Peterson will be another tough fight. I hope he gets the Broner fight, but if Broner doesn't wait for Maidana (which is a bad decision to wait), he'll most likely take a tune up to make himself look good and get a needed confidence booster. Don't be deceived Broner's bubble has been busted and I would confidence wise he's as fragile as an egg right now.
Khan can't beat Garcia - it's bad style for him. He's straight up and down fighter and it's true looping shoots take more time then straight shots but Khan's style doesn't see those shots. You don't hook with a hooker. He'd have to have a boxing - counter punching style with Garcia - great footwork and head movement. I can't see it happening.
I don't see Peterson as being a huge rematch...Peterson lost in most observers eyes even with the point deductions. I would want Khan to rematch Garcia but if I remember correctly Garcia wouldn't want it. I think the best thing Khan can do is face someone with network like Broner or a belt. I'd love for him to T-off against Guerrero to see how his inside game has improved and have Kell vs Porter and have the winners square off for the IBF title in the UK. Wouldn't mind flying out to see that.
Also, interesting to note...Goldeboy has a co-promotional and from what I understand almost a free agent contract with Khan since he's filled up his fight queue. I wonder of TR would do the same. There are some interesting fights for Khan to be made there if Arum wasn't a contractually obliging Jewish lawyer type.
Khan is not into rematches at this point of his careeer he is into doing the absolute minimum that will land a Mayweather fight. The logic behind this is if he steps up and loses the Mayweather fight disappears. The Alexander fight is an easier fight than a Peterson or Garcia rematch but he turned it down despite having a good chance of winning it because another L on his resume would spell the end of a Mayweather fight.
Right now after 2 career devastating losses and 2 shoddy performances against hand picked opponents his confidence is not great. I think he would lose against Peterson and almost certainly against Garcia,Prescott would be a risky fight also although in theory he should win that. Rematches make no sense for him. He looks like damaged goods to me and the plan has to be to take on the lowest risk fight that keeps him in the Mayweather sweepstakes land a Mayweather payday and after losing that look around for a big money fights to gather retirement money as it is ievitable his time is up. He is no longer a credible force (not that he ever was one anyway) but has a big following that will pay out while the illusion remains. It is cashing out time for Khan right now not rematches, that is the sad truth.
Like most chiny fighters, Khan is following the path that doesn't have punchers.
They said the same before he fought Maidana.
Regardless, that would seem to be the smarter thing, wouldn't you agree?
What kind of manager would advise his chinny fighter to take on a big big puncher?
I agree with those who say the Prescott rematch would be meaningless. Prescott has accomplished literally nothing since their fight, and Khan has beaten way better fighters than him.
The Peterson rematch makes all kinds of sense for Khan. Peterson is beatable and has a title.
The Garcia rematch would be nice, too, but Garcia is a big fish now, so Khan needs a good win or two before he can start calling him out.
Prescott rematch is hell of a step backwards i mean they can sure build it up but at this point its a no no especially cuz Prescott went in to an oblivion. Then again Stevenson avenged his vs Boone so cant say its impossible to make.
Lamont Peterson doesnt deserve to make $ off of King Khan for obvious reasons.
The only rematch that makes sense is Danny Garcia. Now he KOed Khan and they are right to say no, but at 147 it will be a great match up. Especially if Khan fights Porter and holds a strap and defends against Garcia at 147.
problem is.. khan'll relose all his rematches in chronological order
only differences being, peterson will knock him out this time along w prescott nd danny lol
You are punch drunk. I see people saying this all the time, sometimes some rematch does not make sense, sometimes you have to move on. The Prescott fight came to a point where it does not make any sense for him to go for the rematch, Pederson he wanted to but we all know how that end, and the Garcia fight might make sense for khan but he still has to wait to get that rematch. So all in all not all rematch makes sense, if Prescott was decent after the khan win then it would have made sense but he didn't really capitalise on that khan win.
I would have more respect for him if he did. What is the point of wanting to fight Broner after Maidana just beat the hell out of him? If Khan could reverse all his loses he would have earned the right to fight any fighter in his weight class including Mayweather. I don't think he could do it. I think your odds for the three fights are about right. Prescott still has those quick long hard punches that come from all angles. He is still a dangerous fight for the weak chinned Khan. Garcia has improved since he KOed Khan and Peterson knows how to fight Khan.
What odds would you guys give Khan in any of those rematches?
I'm thinking Prescott 70/30 in Khan's favor (Prescott has been outboxed by lesser boxers).
Peterson 50/50 - Last fight could have gone either way
Garcia 70/30 in Garcia's favor (maybe a little harsh on Khan, but realistic).
Rematches at this point would be a step back considering he already has the attention of Mayweather. All he needs to do now is keep moving forward with new opportunities that will keep him in the spotlight like the one presented by Floyd for May 3rd.
I honestly think that Prescott can beat him the easiest, again as odd as that sounds. He was the only fight where Khan didn't previously stand a chance.
