Does his losses to Kirkland and Cintron get forgiven by fans given his competitive fight with Lara? Or do you think is an easily winnable fight for Canelo?
I will say this, Angulo gave a skilled mover in Lara hell! He cut off the ring pretty darn well. That showed he could keep up with movement and good boxing skills. Can Canelo use the ring to his advantage? Can he move well in the ring to avoid those Angulo power shots? Thoughtful. If Canelo wins, it's not going to be so much about out boxing Angulo. But more about his OWN power and chin. Lara couldn't keep Angulo off of him what makes people think Canelo will.
I think it's close to 50/50.
There's a good chance Angulo comes out and hurts Canelo early and stops him in the first half of the 12 rounds.
The other (and more likely IMO) scenario I see is Canelo landing hard, accurate combinations busting up Angulo until his body gives out.
Either way, I don't see it going to a decision, and I personally would rather have them fight different opponents because I'm a huge fan of both and would hate to see either of them lose like that lol.
I just checked the odds on Canelo vs. Angulo and Canelo is a huge favorite. A $100 bet on Canelo will only win you $12 but A $100 bet on Angulo will win you $500. So the pro odds makers say it's not a 50-50 fight. They say it's a 85-15 fight in Canelo's favor.
Canelo is the favorite and he should be. He has more speed and skill than Angulo and he has never been knocked down and his only loss is to the great Mayweather at two pounds below his best fighting weight. Angulo lost to Kirkland who is no where near as good as Canelo. If anyone thinks Angulo will win and they don't mind risking some money then they should bet on Angulo. If Angulo wins you will get back more than two dollars for every one you bet.
60/40 Canelo
If Canelo fights like he did against Trout, he boxes Circles around Angulo, I don't expect a Toe to Toe bout at all I especially Canelo to use his Skills and go toe to toe at times
It's def a 50/50 fight...Angulo doesn't let up on te pressure man...he keep right on top of canelo...if Angulo can catch Lara he can def catch canelo...this will tell how durable canelo is
I personally think Angulo can win by KO, he's a big puncher and Canelo's defense is not perfect. If he loses this fight, I think Canelo will bring in a new training team, which I think he may need and get with someone like Nacho. If Angulo wins by KO, I fully suspect he'll be Floyd's opponent if he gets by Maidana in September.
It'll be an exciting competitive fight but I don't see it as 50/50. Other than stamina and power Canelo holds every advantage. Those advantages for Angulo will make it a competitive fight but Canelo is the obvious favorite.
Yeah it appears to be... but it seems almost unreal that GB would put Canelo in such a dangerous fight so maybe there's something they know....if Canelo got stopped wouldn't surprise me at all...I'm not convinced he's as good as he's being made out to be.
I wouldn't be surprised if Angulo beats Canelo up to be honest.
We will learn a lot about Ginger from this fight.
Exactly how I feel.. Hard to learn anything from losing to Floyd, but angulo will prove if canelo is the goods or not
Yeah, I think it's a very close fight..
We have never seen canelo vs anyone that could hurt him... Canelo's best opponents have not had big punching power ie Floyd, trout, hatton, Rhodes, Gomez
Angulo has the ability to hurt canelo, and if canelo tires, he could be in serious trouble..
I venture to say we will have a fight that looks like quillen- rosado and angulo will get stopped when his repaired eye gets damaged again and he gets stopped by doctor like margs- cotto 2
