Maidana is dangerous for one round against Mayweather, the first one, which Floyd usually takes to get his pattern figured out.
I don't know what the gameplan of Maidana will be, because I think his team is trying to mislead us. But I doubt the pattern of the fight will be the one of Guerrero, Baldomir or Canelo fights. Some insiders say Chino will try to destroy Floyd guard hitting his arms, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I think I'm seeing a very very wrong perception about this fight, more or less what I saw leading to the Broner fight. As a Chino fan, I'm worried of the possibility that Floyd TKOs Chino because he will be forced to fight. I don't foresee a dull fight at all and I don't rule out an upset.
Floyd, Ellerbe, Schaeffer are all saying the same as well because they need to promote this one.
If they had a lie detector test, they would all fail miserably!
I don't think Maidana can beat Mayweather but I think he will put up a good fight and land hard punches in every round. Maidana throws lots of hard punches with both hands and many different angles. Most of his punches will miss but I think some will land.
What's he supposed to say?
"Maidana is going to get outboxed for 12 boring rounds, I don't know why anyone would give Showtime money to watch this fight."
