Sturdy fighter and/or elite fighter don't go down from shot like that.
Hmm interesting opinion, though I don't agree. I don't think anyone at 147 couldn't have survived a hail mary like that..
Really...do mean a favor, go to your video library and dig up a HBO fight circa 12/8/12....fast forward to round six at 2:58 and BEHOLD.
The answer to life greatest question regarding the chin structure of Manny Pacquiao will be revealed.

You amaze me.
Who wouldn't have been KO'd by a shot like that?

From a normal fighter pretty good ....from a perfect right but under questionable circumstances get put to sleep
Yeah, those circumstances were as questionable as him not wanting to take any drug test for multiple fights!:bottle:
No. Pacquiao like Holyfield could take bombs .
LOL, your kidding me right...a gentlemen by the name of Juan Manuel Marquez Mendez Sr would beg to differ
No. Pacquiao like Holyfield could take bombs and keep going even when hurt, but at very rare times could get hurt, knocked down or even KO'd when all the stars alligned. Hagler is the type of guy who never got hurt or even dropped just like Chuvalo, McCall, Tua etc.
Isn't there some rumor that Hgaler had some sort of plate in his head? Or is this confirmed? If true, that HAS TO aid in his overall head durability.
Hmmmm......
I had this debate with someone else on this thread yesterday. Check out our debate. They both had granite beard's and it's disrespectful to compare great chins. How do you do that? You could say that both Manny and Holyfield fought better overall fighters than Hagler as well. No? Holyfield fought the biggest puncher in history in Foreman, and never wavered. He fought Tyson as well, took bombs, but he didn't even move. The biggest punchers Hagler fought were Hearns and Mugabi. Bowe, Foreman, and even Bert Cooper, had a significant weight advantage over Evander but it didn't really matter, did it? What did he do after being slightly knocked down against Cooper? What did he do after being wobbled by Bowe in fight one? He had the best recuperative powers of any fighter in history perhaps. And Holyfield was a better fighter than Hagler. It's not fair to Evander that you say that Hagler had the better chin. They were equal in that department. Level of opposition has something to say about how great a chin is as well. If you continue to fight the very best, you WILL get rocked at some point. It's what you do after that determines how good your chin is. In that case, Holyfield's chin is one of the best in history.
"Pac's chin is Holyfield tier, but not Hagler tier."
Huh? LoL. Holyfield's chin was as good as Hagler's man. What are you talking about??? Those are two of my favorite fighters ever. They both had two of the greatest beards ever. One isn't better than the other because they both were excellent.

I know what're talking about man, Amir Khan had a granite chin too.
Until he got knocked out.
khan's chin was only granite while with roach
he was brutally knocked out and just laying on a ring post before roach where he got his granite chin, then he started getting ideas about leaving roach and lost a fight on his feet, after leaving roach he's glass again and will probabley soon be using a ringpost as a pillow again
JMM 4's punch doesn't count
That was infused with steroids and anyone would get KO'ed falling towards that punch on the chin
Steroids or not, if Pacman had a granite chin he would have never been put to sleep. I agree its obvious JMM juiced, but if Pac's chin was solid why did he get hurt bad? its because a real welterweight has never hit him flush with a crisp full blast whipping punch on the chin. Cotto, Margarita, Clottey all hit Pacman with slow punches that he could see coming and brace for, and most of them were arm shots and grazing no speed or ferocity on them.
Pacman chin was solid at 126 but at 147 his chin was exposed by Marquez
Understandable.
That's understandable. The Hearns fight was impressive. Hagler was as tough a fighter as I've ever seen. I say the same about Holy. His recuperative powers were the best I've ever seen. That's why I say, how can we disrespect either fighter by comparing chins. Both guys chin were made of granite. It doesn't mean anything when you say that because Holyfield was rocked by Bowe, Cooper, etc. that Hagler's chin was better. Based on what? The Hearns fight? The Mugabi fight? Holyfield took punches from the biggest heavyweight puncher, ever in George Foreman. Was Hearns stronger than Foreman? Nope. Even though they were in different weight classes, it's proven by KO percentage that Foreman punched harder. How about the shots he took from Tyson and didn't even budge? Tyson is one of the biggest punchers in history as well. Get my point? Holyfield was fighting at home against Cooper, too. It made him even more confident. What did he do to Cooper when he came off the canvas for the first time? My point exactly. Their chins were equally great man.
granite chin before jmm ko-ed him.
granite chin after jmm ko-ed him.
u dont suddenly lose ur chin coz u got ko-ed.
sure jmm ko-ed him. but who wouldnt get knocked out from a punch like that (as in one he doesnt see coming)
im sure hagler/ali wudve gone down to shots like that as well. (if scaled to weight)
Manny chin is complete garbage....knocked unconscious. It doesn't get more worse than that.
It's now hunting season and he's knows it.
My IQ just took a dramatic hit after reading that sh1te, swear this site makes u dumber
So? That doesn't mean anything. Holyfield had one of the best chin's in history. You can't say that Hagler's chin was better. Based on what? Cooper could crack. Bowe could crack also and was much bigger than Evander. Doesn't that matter? I could say that because Holy had the better resume, he was in more danger than Hagler. Does that sound fair or right? IDK.
Hagler fought his fair share of big punchers, and I have never seen the guy hurt or dropped and he had over 60 fights vs a lot of top guys..
Yes I guess Holyfield was fighting bigger guys, at cruiser he was never really in trouble
I just prefer hagler because he walked thru tommy hearns biggest shots
Both have great chins
