Just been announced by Eddie Hearn that Amir Khan has been offered £5 million ($8 million) to fight Kell Brook!
That's probably the most lucrative fight right now for khan, Brooks been trying to force a fight with him for years and there's genuine animosity between them stemming from a sparring session a few years back!
Personally I'd be surprised if khan takes the fight, Brook is an athletic boxer as well as a big puncher, if it were to happen I can't see Khan going the distance!
No amount of money is worth khan staying on the sidelines for much longer. History dictates that Brook will pull out of the fight for some reason. Besides its up to brook now to take a risk and fight some of the top guys in the US since they would be unwilling to come to the UK. Call me crazy but i don't think he has even earned the right to face khan.
Brook being a top 5 welter, gotta laugh at that
The Ghost is a credible fight for Khan
Especially since The Ghost fought Floyd, so it'd be a good measuring stick for Khan.
You can also throw in Luis Collazo after his win against Ortiz
There are a number of ways Khan can go now, he has many options on the table, just needs a good win over a catchy named boxer. If he fights someone who is unknown to Floyd, come September Floyd might just give Lucas the fight
agree with the bold/underlined. Khan absolutely needs to fight someone of value in his next fight. Heck add Porter & Peterson to the list as well, perhaps even Adrien Broner ... any of those 5 will do
Khan is doing absolutely nothing to advance his career. I agree Brook hasn't fought any top or elite fighters but as it stands, they're both top 10 fighters. Beating Brook is a good win for anyone and a win like that could give credit towards the September fight. Khan has to take a big fight next or else the public won't want to see Floyd-Khan in September.
This is who I would prefer he fights in order...
1. Porter (chance to win a belt) - immediate Floyd fight
2. Peterson II (chance to win a belt) - immediate Floyd fight
3. Brook (solid win from a top 10 contender)
Well i guess we are on the same page then. That he does need a big win but I think Brook fight in a title defense comes off as "oh ***** solid defense" and looks better for Khan than the McCloskey win.
What really is laughable is that people actually believe this "offer" considering international superstar Froch who sells out arenas in minutes hasn't made any where near that much whilst on ppv.

What's really laughable is the fact Khan was even in consideration to fight Mayweather!
Hope this fight happens. But its a big risk for Khan if he looses i dont think theres anywhere for him to go. If Brook looses i think he could still win a belt at some point. But for the winner who ever it may be,i see them moving on to a big fight State side in the future. . Make it happen !!!!!!
It's called prize fighting, so yes the most lucrative fight should factor in! Khan is the most likely fight for Mayweather in September regardless who he fights as Danny is in no hurry to move up!
Khan likes to bang on about not ducking anybody, well he would have a chance to prove it here, Brook is a consensus top 5 welter who's been calling him out!
Khan likes to bang on about being on another level to Brook, so Kell shouldn't be any problem for him.. The only credible fights for Khan right now are Brook, Broner and Porter, I wouldn't mind any of those fights but I don't think khan has the balls for any of those.. We'll probably see him fight Leonard Bundu instead!

Who give a **** about most lucrative
Kell Brook has faced more bums than Graham Norton
I'm not against Brook vs Khan fight, i just dont think its beneficial to Khan as far as trying to get the Floyd fight in this moment of time
Brook is fighting some bum next (same old story) and then he has a 3rd chance at fighting for a belt, hopefully he doesnt duck, and if he wins he then has pulling power and positioning to demand a fight with Khan, and something huge to offer.
Kell really needs to get a move on,the Special 1 as he call himself, has yet to prove his worth, and pinning his entire career on calling out Khan
Jnr Whitter spent his entire career calling out Hatton, Kell is reminding me of him. Although Whitter had a better resume than Brook thats for sure

Along with the money, he gets a solid footing in the WW division beating someone who's rated higher than him and a mandatory position in line for Porter.
He can fight Porter without fighting Brook
Porter is looking for a big money fight next
Khan is in a position where he can fight just about anyone
this could make a lot of money,
with khan being from bolton and brook from sheffield,
they could spin this as lancashire v yorkshire,
bit like they did when brook fought matthew hatton
it will be a big fight in the uk, id like to see it :boxing:
Even though this is a good fight for Khan but Kell Brook win wont bring a career boost and only $ and when Khan beats him it will be "oh who is kell brook", because really who is he?
If Khan was all about the payday he wouldve been on this. If Brook is such a world beater whom did he beat?
Brook just cant keep Khan's you know what outta his mouth to stay relevant.
He says "fight me and retire rich" yet hes the one living with his parents.
Khan needs to fight Shawn Porter because beyond experience at 147 a win will bring less $, "BUT" belt, solid/credible if not big name
Some people are such jokers here claiming Khan is ducking Brook. Yet when he does beat'em it'll be the same "who is kell brook?" crap.
