Boycott the Floyd Mayweather vs Marcos Maidana fight

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/boycott-the-floyd-mayweather-vs-marcos-maidana Floyd Maywweather has ducked the Manny Pacquiao fight for 5 years and this ducking seems to show no signs of subsiding. But we allow Floyd to do this because we let him fight anybody and because of the hype and promotions and the good undercards GBP put on, he sell his PPV and makes his cash. while all we get are sub standard, one sided fights against hyped boxers. The American PPV can cost between $70-$80 is this worth paying for the fights we really don't want to see. Don't fall for the hype, the bad blood feuds this time, you weren't calling for the fight 6 months ago, so don't pay for it now. Boycott this fight and all of Floyd Mayweather's fights till he stops making excuses and gets in the ring with Manny Pacquiao. Added to this we have all his shenanigans about announcing his fight and choosing the opponent, Floyd is not bigger than the sport, not fighter is and it is time we reminded him of that fact If we do this we can bring power back to the fans and get the boxing fights we want rather than the fights the promoters want to sell us. I agree. This fight should be boycotted. Would it be possible to start a "Boycott Floyd v. Maidana" facebook Post??? That is also a good idea. I am not a Pacquiao nuthugger. But let's face it. Floyd is very obviously ducking Pacquiao. How can Maidana be more worthy than Pacquiao?? At least Pacquiao is fighting a more competitive opponent in Bradley. Bradley is a much more competitive and skillful opponent then Maidana. The only thing Maidana has is power. The Pacquiao v. Rios fight was also a noncompetitive fight,..but was somewhat excusable because of Pacs unexpected KO to JMM. So he got a pass for fighting Rios(some may disagree w/ me).

No. Its a one sided fight but its a legit title defense/unification. Its reasonable to expect more from the #1 pound for pound fighter in the world but this isn't enough to boycott or jump ship. Is it worth $80 of your hard earned cash? They do it because they can get away with it, only because we as fans allow them to. If together we all make a stand and no one buys it on PPV, it will change boxing for the better. That's what we all want don't we?

I guess you really don't want to make a stand for the good of boxing. we don't want to see manny fighting tim again, we want to see manny fight floyd. we gotta do something to get manny to understand taking less money for lesser oppoenents is something we as boxing fans wont stand for. Yeah, a very small part. Every boxing fan that isnt a TMT onesie wearing fantwat, knows that floyd bears the overwhelming proportion of responsibility for the fight not happening. And according to you grubby little bumsniff's, Floyd is supposedly the most powerful and influential person in the sport. Quack fooking quack!:lol1:

Not Pacquiao's fault and Pacquiao is fighting the P4P number 3 and getting back his title. Does Maidana make the top 50 p4p? Alexander schooled Maidana, do you think Floyd will do a better job? SO why don't we start by boycotting manny v tim-sending manny the message we wont tolerate him fighiting anyone else but floyd. then we boycott floyd v maidan-sending floyd the message we wont tolerate him fighting anyone but manny. Once again Ur missing the point. It's your opinion Bradley is better than those fighters. An opinion I share for the most part. But rankings aren't opinions. They are facts. U can't use a fact to support your argument for one fighter if the other fighter has been doing the same. Don't try too hard to understand it. I know, it's complexed for simpletons So how do you feel about Manny being ranked 1 by the WBC? That's not an opinion it's a fact. Wouldn't that make him Floyd's mandatory?

Rather than watch 80 bucks and pay for the fight, just go on YouTube and watch the Alexander vs Maidana fight, pretty much the same thing.

The only difference, credit poster rome by KO, is tim may not injure his ankle which may make the fight different. Manny beat Tim clearly IMO, despite losing the last 3 or 4 rounds. I don't see how the fight is any different. Tim could always fight like he did v Ruslan and get KO'd i suppose. The outcome will be the same IMO, Manny will win again. I agree that Manny won the first fight, but not convincingly enough for the judges to see it that way. I want to see Manny annihilate Bradley! I am as yet befuddled how Bradley remains undefeated. He's not that good!

Floyd is neither of these things, and this fight will resemble the Alexander vs Maidana bout. But if the fans don't want these types of fights boycott them and then we will get the fights we want. Floyd may think he runs boxing, but together the fans can run the game. And it all starts with this boycott. wouldn't the boycott be better if it were started sooner? So you're satisfied with Floyd fighting Maidana caliber opponents for the rest of his fights? Well then God bless we all can't be that easily bought. Maidana calibre? He's a legitimate champ with power at the weight, and I usually chip in for all big PPV fights. I can't help I'm a fan.

This poll doesn't apply in such a cut and dry manner as it's presented. This may not be the most challenging fight for Mayweather, but Maidana does have a belt, only three losses, and and an 81.58% KO ratio. Let's give Chino SOME credit! Maidana is a good fighter, but his best attribute is his power, against fighters that want to slug or don't like pressure he will do well against. Jeez ,Floyd just can't win with some fans..I can name a few opponents better the Maidana..Lara being the main one,but there is no reason to act like spoiled brats..At least May did not do the indefensible and fight Khan...
