It can sell on its own, because Mayweather is involved, but in order to maximise profits and appeals they will need a strong undercard. Khan v Broner could contribute to that, however there are alternative.

Khan is right in the **** now, based on his last few fights he wont beat any of the decent fighters at L/Welter or Welter add what will be 18 months of inactivity before he is actually in the ring again he has his work cut out big time if he is going to kick start his career again. Without a few worthwhile victories he cant move forward or make a case for fighting Floyd which is clearly the big payday he is after before he ****s off to a media career with Sky Sports, real problem is if he takes the worthwhile fights there is a very good chance he gets starched and that will finish the chinless wonder off for good.

Why he listen to Team Mayweather about not fighting Alexander is beyond me.. Instead of following his own path, he let them dictate who he shouldn't fight. He really needs to get rid of his team. I doubt he ever heard he was getting the fight from Team Mayweather. He probably heard it from Golden Boy and assumed it to be true.
