Tim Bradley is enrolled in random drug testing by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) for the third straight fight in advance of his April 12 rematch with Manny Pacquiao, the WBO welterweight titleholder confirmed to ******.com on Wednesday.
Bradley (31-0, 12 knockouts) said that his blood and urine was also randomly tested by VADA for his unanimous decision victory over Ruslan Provodnikov last March, as was Provodnikov, as well as for his split-decision over Juan Manuel Marquez in October.
The VADA testing is separate from that which Bradley and Pacquiao will endure under the auspices of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which was announced by NSAC chairman Francisco Aguilar on Feb. 14.
"I am very happy with the NSAC drug testing and agreed to them handling the testing for my upcoming fight," Bradley said in a text message statement to ******.com. "Additionally, I chose to sign up with VADA as I have for the last couple of fights."
Under the NSAC testing, which Marquez participated in as well, Bradley and Pacquiao will endure unannounced tests up to and including the day of their clash, which is a rematch of Bradley's split-decision over Pacquiao in June 2012.
While Bradley is paying for the VADA testing himself, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is funding the NSAC testing at a cost of $35,000.

too smooth, too clean. pacquiao by UD doe :boxing::boxing:
Why hasn't he signed up for yearly testing?
I know. People act like testing the other 8-10 months out of the year isn't necessary. It's either all or nothing in my mind.
And this is just my opinion, but I think most pro athletes juice, especially when the aerobic-based athletes look like bodybuilders
guess pacquiao signed a fight only contract with vada, because they can do all year round testing can't they? think donaire does it and if so bradley probabley signed the same thing
This seems to be becoming the new norm for high-profile fights.
It's good for the sport and maybe as the technology becomes more affordable it'll become the standard for an entire card and not just the main events.
Props to Bradley. Money Mayweather, the self-proclaimed sport cleaner, will never let himself get VADA tested. I had hoped Bradley would leave TR and pursue the Mayweather fight. Bradley would have insisted on adding VADA to his testing requirement.
Got to respect Bradley for his clean fights over the last few years, since the whole testing thing blew up he has remove any doubt or suspicious over himself by doing testing randomly even when his opponents are not. Those are the sign of a leader who has nothing to hide.
