Floyd vs Maidana is the near Equivlent of Pac vs Rios Yes or No?

Rios=coming off of a loss 0 fights at 147 Maidiana=147 WBA champion is this a serious thread?

People gave a lot of flack to Pacman taking on Rios, slow plodder, with power.. and now these Maidana ****suckers and Floyd stans are biggin up Floyd for taking on a slow plodder called Maidana in reality Pac vs Rios and Floyd vs Maidana is the same fight, movement vs slow plod, swing and miss, collect a payday, go home..yawnfest Floyd is the champ and he is fighting slow men who pose no threat to him. A guy who was soundly outclassed by Devon, laid out by Khan and smashed to bits by Kotelnik..and he is suppose to give Floyd a challenge? LMAO Floyd i use to respect, but he is clearly scared of anyone laying a glove on him thus he rather fight Maidana instead of Khan, he wants to look good without taking a shot in return. You are picking and choosing your words in a feeble attempt to compare a Mayweather/Maidana fight with a Pacquaio/Rios fight. Pac/Rios was a joke of a fight that should have been on HBO instead of PPV. Rios had no title, lost his last fight against a mediocre fighter and was moving up in weight. Maidana has a championship belt, won his last fight against a good fighter and will not be giving up a weight advantage. Like Rios, Maidana doesn't have much of a chance of winning, but it is a much better matchup than Pac/Rios. One more thing. If Maidana fought Pacquaio, Maidana would stand an excellent chance of winning that fight. Rios would stand no chance in hell of beating Mayweather.

Maidana vs Rios would be a good fight ..... but neither should be fighting against the top guys. I completely understand why Manny fought Rios being that it was a comeback fight. I still can't understand why Floyd would want to fight Maidana. That one makes no sense! Maidana vs Floyd is a cherry pick. Rios vs Manny was a comeback fight.

Rios was coming off a loss. A loss! And it was his first ever fight at 147. Maidana on the other hand is coming in on a 4 fight winning streak where he has gotten better and better each time under Robert Garcia. All at 147. And he just scored the biggest victory of his career. So no I don't see much equivalence at all. I don't see why we need to compare Pac-Rios and Floyd-Maidana What is the point of all of this? Neither fight does anything for their resume.

I have to say no. Maidana is a legitimate WW and a champion. He's coming off of a massive victory and is a hot ticket right now. Having said that, I didn't have a problem with the Pacquiao-Rios fight. It was a comeback fight. That's all. Pacquiao needed a convincing win, and he got it.

Rios was looking average when going against Pac, Maidana is looking very good. If Maidana repeats his performance against Broner, or maybe if he can step it up a notch or two Floyd will have to do the perfect fight to win. He's capable of that, but Maidana is also capable of K him TFO. Maidana isnt Canelo. Canelo hardly threw any punches against Floyd while Maidana won because he drawned Broner with his rate of fire.

. I just don't see the media hyping this. Why not? Maidana has a decisive impressive win in a very high profile fight in his last outing and he has over an 80 percent ko ratio. They can hype the **** out of the guy as a dangerous opponent to casuals.. and Maidana has his own merit with hardcores as well. Earning it the hard way. he may not be mexican, but he will still have alot of latinos supporting him as well.

Maidana a more interesting opponent than Ghost, to both casuals and hardcores. Their fight would do better than May Ghost.
