I am thinking of going to a movie theater to watch the Canelo vs Angulo fight. Has anyone ever watched boxing at a movie theater? What was the experience like?
Only went to one before in San Francisco. Mayweather vs. Ortiz. Fantastic experience. It was packed, atmosphere was great, video feed was awesome (60 FPS is amazing), sound was good. Afterward, hearing all the butthurt Mexicans talk trash to the black guys was pretty funny as well.
PS: Flask = win
What theater in the city? Metreon?
I'm considering going to the Canelo vs Angulo.. I don't think any of my friends even know about this fight but this would be a real interesting experience to enjoy boxing. I don't wanna wait for Andre Ward to see a nice live prizefight in the Bay Area.
Its alright if you're just by yourself and just want to enjoy the fights.
I go to actual fights solo myself. A night out full of boxing with no worries. Cant beat it.

I never have but I hope they show it in my neck of the woods. Sounds like fun. Pass the Henny

It was pretty laid back when i went. You would think it would be packed ...but its not. There was about 6 people in there when i went and saw the Guererro Mayweather fight.
What a waste of time! And the tickets were free. thank god
Lol a mayweather fight wouldn't be complete without the legendary PAC-boy watching to see him lose.
I watched a couple when I didn't want to pay the full PPV to watch it by myself. Plus most ppl there are boxing fans and you can yap away in the room. The only down side is there is no booze
also, who is really going to stop you from bringing alcohol? Its not like they are going to search you. Just bring a big cup in your pocket and pour it in when you are inside.....lol
dont listen to those guys. You can drink before and after. The movies are the next best thing to watching it live. Huge screen and screaming fans.
Here is the 1 thing you have to make sure of though. You have to make sure the Theater uses surround sound for the fight. Call them and ask before time.Ive been to some that had surround sound and it was great. Then I went to one where the sound was just coming from the front speakers by the screen and it was a night & day experience. It sucked. IDK if they felt they didnt have to use it since it was a movie or what but tell them to use the surround sound or go to a different theatre
I've Watched Mayweather vs Mosley, May vs Guerrero and some UFC fights in the theater,it's pretty cool, you get to watch the fight in HD in a huge screen, the crowd gets into it also.Downside would be you can't drink like you would at home or watching party. But I like the experience
