AJ would easily beat both Sprott and Skelton in a couple of rounds. Those aren't the guys he need to worry about. I'd like to see him step it up after he's had about 10 fights, which should hopefully be in the beginning of 2015.
He's clearly better than British level, and I'd imagine he'd rise relatively quickly ala David Price. On the British scene, his biggest problem will be Derek Chisora without question. I have my fears about his chin, I certainly think he will be KOd - so I guess in that sense we have a new Lennox Lewis. But like LL, he will need a trainer that can teach him the finer arts of pugilism. I don't think Tony Sims is that man.
Now, Britain has two great young heavyweights at the moment. One will become a major force for the next ten-fifteen years.. My gut feeling is that the other is Anthony Joshua.
I know exactly what you mean, he does look a bit too good and pretty be true, and that chin sticks out a bit.
I would keep Sprott well away from him for a good few fights yet and probably even Sam Sexton right now.
I know he's only a few fights in but he really does look like a KO waiting to happen to me, and by KO waiting to happen i don't mean once he get's to world level, i mean he looks as if he'll struggle at domestic level against someone who'll throw back with bad intentions.

He could beat a Sam Sexton though don't you think? And Sam is cagey enough to take him a few rounds.
But then if you chucked him in with Sprott that would be very interesting at this early stage in his development.

Absolutely, no fcking way should he be pushed along pretty quick.
He has a massive amount to learn to even be good enough to hang around with the top heavyeight contenders IMO, but the most impressive thing about him is that he damn well knows that himself.
I'd rather him have a test than go through his career like David Price did and get shown up when he did step up.

Joshua can be pushed along pretty quick, that's how a HW should look, just need to see how he reacts once his chin gets checked. He demolishes young fury in my opinion.

Highly, highly doubt that.
Obviously it's not usually smart to make big predictions for futures of fighters, especially when they just look good v cr@p opposition, but I think he has the mental, physical and skill-wise gifts to be a big success. One of the most athletic heavyweights in a while, size, intelligent guy, and natural power with a varied skill set. If he can prove his punch resistance and stamina, and move along quickly, he can become like a Lennox-type figure for the UK, in terms of being a dominant champion, if getting nowhere near the Lennox level of legacy. :boxing:

I took Joshua round 1.
Darch is awful, I really do expect Joshua to decapitate him very quickly.
Funny you should say that! Darch went all 6 rounds and lost a decision to Hughie Fury in his last fight, so this will be interesting to gauge Joshua is compared to Fury, who is further along in his pro career. :boxing:
