How did Ike Quartey fade away so quickly?

I guess with the money he got, he just lost a little hunger for the sport. And I too thought he was robbed in that Forrest fight.

Like most African fighters, I assume he tasted success fast and then faded out after getting beat by better opposition.

After the Oscar fight he took alot of long layoffs.

This is great news if true... Hopefully he's smart and can make it last a lifetime. Its true, he owns a lot of property over there and I think he even owns a hotel if I remember correctly.

He got rich from the vargas and oscar fights,, then retired to africa and lived like a king,, Cameback a few years later, and had some success and landed big fights with forrest, which i thought ike got robbed in, and then fought winky and took a legit loss,, then retired again with a bunch of money He doesnt need to fight, he is set for life and thats why you dont see him anymore
