I'm sure of it.
People keep going on about Khan's suspect chin, but has Floyd got the power to take advantage of that? I don't think so. Plus Khan's chin isn't THAT bad. I mean it's not a rock, but people often exaggerate how weak it is. The guy took quite a few big shots from Maidana, who's one of the hardest P4P punchers in the sport, and managed to survive without going down.
Khan's speed and combination punching will cause Floyd all sorts of problems imo, especially in the first half of the fight. I don't wanna hear any of this 'once Floyd starts timing him, it's over!' BS followed by the suggestion that Floyd should be fighting Maidana or D.Garcia, who would both get shut out easily. At least Khan will give him a few problems in patches and win some rounds.
I don't care who 'deserves' a shot at Floyd, I care about who's gonna give him the best fight. And Khan will certainly give him a better fight than slow, flat-footed snails like D.Garcia and Maidana. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather see Floyd man up and fight Pac, Lara or GGG/Martinez, who've both offered to come down to 154 to fight, but out of the names Floyd is willing to get in the ring with, Khan is the best option imo.
I think this fight will go the distance, but even if it doesn't, it'll be competitive for as long as it lasts imo. I predict that Floyd will win a close UD or a SD.
Khan is going to surprise a lot of people.
I don't agree. khan is washed up and has nothing going for him that will trouble mayweather. it will be the easiest fight mayweather has had in years. Khan will lose every round until the round Mayweather KOs him and that could be any round between 1 and 5.
100% agree with you. Also since Khan survived maidana's big shots without going down... Does this make BRONER to have a glass chin then, even more than people say khan has???? Because it think that's why he chose paulie first at welter
Floyd will hurt Khan not with power, but with timing.
Exactly this. It's the shots you don't see that can cause chaos.
Khan may well have kept his feet against Maidana, but he was still sent break dancing around the ring!
For. 3 rounds. Maybe
Cotto gave Floyd his toughest fight. Floyd said he wanted to retire after Cotto
:lol1:
he also said he wanted to quit during the baldomir fight. floyd aint sh-it! khan takes him out with a left hook to da body.
I'm sure of it.

It's not hard punches than Khan goes down from, it's the ones he doesn't see. . . flush Counters
We all know who the best boxer in the game is at landing flush unseen counters
give it till round 4 and this fight will have it's minutes numbered. . . the minute floyd locks that timing down.
I do agree Khan's speed adds a new dimension, and I'm also interested to see how far it'll get him, but it won't be enough, Floyd is too smart to let that be a factor.
after reading this post I have a better idea why you think Khan will be tough.
just wait until they announce the fight before you decide what it means for floyd.
carry on.
You've got me curious now. Care to elaborate on your first sentence?
Whatever he said, it was something along those lines. And no, he wasn't 'jabbing' Manny. It was just another one of the hundreds of excuses he's come up with.
Anyway, I don't wanna turn this into yet another Pac-Floyd war.

Well, I think you know he was just jabbing manny when he said what he said, which wasn't this.
don't they have to announce the fight before you reach a conclusion on what it says about floyd?

Fair enough, I don't expect many to agree with me.
I like this fight, but it once again exposes what an idiotic, double-standard hypocrite Floyd is. 'I won't fight Pac cos he's lost recently, but I'll fight Khan'. Utter lunacy.

At least Khan isn't some flat footed slow brawler . Styles do make fights and while Khan Does possess speed and movement, he never fought at 147 and he's been on the decline for a couple years.. He may come out blazing but as soon as he eats a right hand he doesn't see, he's gonna be tap dancing all over the ring.. Easy win for Floyd..maybe even a KO inside 7 rounds...
Anyone that knows anything about khan knows that his kryptonite is the left hook. He can't defend one to save his life. Or career. Or legacy.
Sorry, khan is going to do nothing. It will be very apparent by the 3-4th round Amir will have nothing for Floyd. Floyd will not KO Amir, even though the chances will be there.
